The pet door moveably mounts to the first base panel within a pet door opening and selectively covers the pet door opening. The second base panel is coupled to the first base panel along a first lateral side of the second base panel. The track extends longitudinally along a medial portion of the second base panel. The adjustment panel system is moveably mounted on the track and translates relative to the base panel system. The adjustment panel system includes a first adjustment panel defining a horizontal groove extending longitudinally along a medial portion of the first adjustment panel. The horizontal groove selectively receives the track to selectively mount the adjustment panel system to the base panel system.
