  • Publication number: 20100228187
Abstract: An applicator system with a pressurized medium and a valve for dispensing the medium, characterized in that the sprayhead has a sprayhead body, which includes an escape channel that is connected with the valve, and an outlet orifice in which the outlet channel empties, and a mouthpiece element is provided, which sits on the sprayhead body, whereas the outlet orifice and the mouthpiece element are arranged relative to each other, in order to bring the outlet orifice to the mouth of a user and to actuate the valve by the mouthpiece element.

  • Patent number: 6994538
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for molding optical lenses are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a first molding shell with a first diameter, a sealing element surrounding the first molding shell, and means for radially clamping the sealing element against the first molding shell, a second molding shell having a second diameter greater than the first diameter, and means for axially clamping the second molding shell with its inner shell surface against a radial front surface of the sealing element. This is done such a hollow cavity is enclosed between the molding shells and the sealing element. The radially clamping means and the axial clamping means are structurally distinct and independent one from the other. The axially clamping means are arranged on an outer shell surface of the second molding shell, opposite to the inner shell surface.

  • Patent number: 5268036
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for treating workpieces with a fluid, in particular for cleaning metallic workpieces prior to a subsequent heat treatment are disclosed. The workpieces are positioned in an air-tight washing vessel. The vessel is filled with an immersion bath substantially covering the workpieces and having a temperature of between 50.degree. C. and 90.degree. C. After closing the washing vessel it is evacuated down to a vacuum having a pressure being below the saturation vapor pressure of the fluid at the prevailing temperature. Thus, the fluid starts to boil although its temperature is substantially below the boiling temperature of the fluid at atmospheric pressure. After a certain period of time of maintaining the vacuum and the boiling, the vacuum is relieved and the bath is discharged.

  • Patent number: 4353272
Abstract: The engine is controlled by sensing fuel pedal position, indicative of desire engine power. A characteristic transmission data field is used to select the appropriate gear or gear ratio. The engine is controlled on the basis of characteristic engine data or on the basis of an engine operating curve associated with minimum fuel consumption in dependence of the changes in engine speed due to the changing transmission ratio. In normal driving, the apparatus selects operation along the minimum fuel curve whereas during periods of increased power demand, the apparatus operates in dependence of characteristic engine data. Also proposed is apparatus which takes account of the operational vehicle status and effects the switchover from optimum fuel consumption to optimum power delivery with priority assigned to optimum fuel economy.

  • Patent number: 4258591
Abstract: To improve vehicle operator comfort and safety and to reduce wear and tear on the automatic transmission, the apparatus prevents an upshift whenever the accelerator pedal is released very quickly. The apparatus stores the load signal which prevailed when the load was abruptly reduced, thereby simulating to the transmission controller a continuation of high load and preventing an undesired upshift, for example in downhill operation and during roll-outs. Normal load signals are restored whenever the accelerator pedal is returned to a predetermined point. In one embodiment, the stored load signal is a hydraulic pressure and in another embodiment, for use with an electronic transmission controller, the load signal is an electrical signal. In a third embodiment, the upshift control signal from the controller to the transmission is interrupted when the apparatus indicates a complete release of the accelerator pedal.
