  • Publication number: 20260145313
Abstract: Power tool adapters and methods for a power tool device to provide additional functionality. An adapter includes an adapter housing, a tool interface supported by the adapter housing and configured to couple to a first power tool device, and a pack interface supported by the adapter housing and configured to couple to a power tool battery pack. The adapter further includes one or more sensors to generate sensor data including an electrical characteristic of the power tool battery pack. An electronic controller is supported by the adapter housing and coupled to the tool interface, the pack interface, and the one or more sensors. The electronic controller receives the sensor data from the one or more sensors, detects, based on the sensor data, an auto-stop condition, and controls the power tool to cease operation in response to detecting the auto-stop condition.

  • Publication number: 20260129733
Abstract: One example provides a portable lighting device with at least two subsets of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that are separately controllable to be illuminated at different brightness levels. The lighting device includes an electronic processor coupled to a thermal camera configured to capture a background image and capture current images of an area of operation of the lighting device. The electronic processor is configured to compare the current image to the background image to determine whether and where one or more people is present in the area of operation. The electronic processor is configured to determine a first section in which the one or more people is located, and control the lighting device to more brightly illuminate the first section in which the one or more people is located than a second section of in which people are not located.

  • Publication number: 20250189076
Abstract: A powered saw includes at least one camera, a sensor, a saw blade, a motor configured to drive the saw blade, and an electronic controller including an electronic processor and a memory. The electronic controller receives an indication of an orientation of the saw blade from the sensor and determines a keep-out area based on the orientation of the saw blade, where the keep-out area corresponds to, or is defined relative to, the saw blade. Images captured from the at least one camera are received by the electronic controller, where the captured images include at least a portion of the keep-out area. The electronic controller analyzes, using a machine learning (ML) model, the captured images to determine whether a portion of a hand is present in the keep-out area and, in response to detecting the portion of the hand in the keep-out area, executes a safety action.

  • Patent number: 6726395
Abstract: A collapsible support such as a post includes two sections interconnected via first and second threaded joint units. The first joint unit includes a first male screw member engageable with a female screw of one of the sections, a first engaging end face formed at one end of the first male screw member, and a stem projecting outward axially from the first engaging end face. The second joint unit includes a second male screw member for engaging a female screw of the other section, which is sleeved rotatably around the stem and has a second engaging end face confronting the first engaging end face. A clamp member mounted on the stem clamps together the first and second male screw members. The first and second male screw members are interlockable via the first and second engaging end faces. A resilient member mounted on the stem permits the first and second male screw members to disengage from each other for adjustment of the angular positions of the two sections.

  • Patent number: 6663263
Abstract: A collapsible lampshade includes an upper ring, a lower ring, a plurality of upper ribs each having a first end pivoted to the upper ring and a second end part, and a plurality of lower ribs each having a third end which is pivoted to the lower ring and a fourth end part which has a connection part pivoted to the second end part. The connection part has a pair of flaps extending over and pivoted to the second end part. Releasable interengagement elements are formed on the flaps and the second end part for locking the second end part from movement relative to the flaps. The lampshade has a simple construction and can be stretched and locked in the stretched state in a convenient manner using few component parts.

  • Publication number: 20020071283
Abstract: A collapsible lampshade includes first and second complementing shell halves each having upper and lower ends, and joining ends which extend from two opposite ends of the upper ends to two opposite ends of the lower ends. Amounting piece, which is disposed within the upper ends of the first and second shell halves and which is connected to the upper end of the second shell half via a second rib, is removably connected to a first rib extending from the upper end of the first shell half. Interconnecting elements are disposed at two opposite ends of the upper and lower ends of first and second shell halves to interlock removably the first and second shell halves. For storage or packaging, the first shell half can be stacked on the second shell half to reduce the volume of the lampshade.
