    Abstract: A vehicle braking means is disclosed in which an auxiliary chamber 2 comprises a locking mechanism whose function is to lock together a piston 5 and a piston rod 16. The locking mechanism comprises a spring-loaded guide 19 and locking elements 20 arranged to constantly contact the guide 19 and to engage the piston 5. To release the vehicle brakes, provision is made of a rod 21 or a pushrod 43 extending from the auxiliary chamber 2. As compared with the constructions known currently, the auxiliary chamber 2 is more readily operable and convenient in use.
