Abstract: An apparatus for separation of ferromagnetic materials has a working chamber occupied by a ferromagnetic attachment in the form of plates with openings edged by shaped projections, a magnetizing system and means for consolidation of the plates made in the form of an additional magnetic field source, and inlet and outlet connections, respectively, for fluid medium. The spacing of the openings on the plate, their sizes and configuration, the sizes of the projections and the distance between the plates are selected to be variable throughout the volume of the working chamber depending on the magnetic properties and sizes (dispersity) of foreign particles in the fluid medium being purified, and viscosity of the fluid medium.

Abstract: An apparatus for separating ferromagnetic materials from fluid media has a working passage divided by a partition into sections filled with an insert of ferromagnetic material. A magnetizing system is arranged coaxially with the working passage. An arrangement for imparting reciprocations to the magnetizing system is fashioned as at least two electromagnetic coils with one such coil at the opposite ends of the passage, parameters of the coils being such as to ensure movement of the magnetizing system between two extreme positions.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for separating ferromagnetic materials from fluid media which has stationary chambers containing a ferromagnetic filtering packing capable of being magnetized. The chambers, arranged pairwise, are provided with a self-contained means of magnetization, the magnetic circuit whereof comprises two opposite sections which are located on either side of a line through the centers of the chambers. Each of the sections is made up of a magnet and pole pieces arranged next to the chambers at the diametrically opposite ends of a line at right angles to the center line referred to above so that the two sections form a closed magnetic circuit in conjuction with the ferromagnetic packings.

Abstract: A separator for magnetical removal of solid particles from fluid media comprises a flow chamber filled with a rod-type ferromagnetic orienting packing, and a magnetic system for magnetizing the packing. The packing rods are arranged along the flow of the medium being purified and contact each other over lateral surfaces thereof.

Abstract: A predetermined quantity of the fluid to be analyzed is made to pass through magnetized filtering packing, and the content of the solid fraction is measured after the exit of the fluid from the packing, before its re-entry into it. Recirculation is continued until a permanent, unvarying residual content of the solid phase in the fluid is attained. The fluid subjected to the recirculation is periodically acted upon by an alternating magnetic field, outside the packing.

Abstract: A separator for separating fluid media from minute particles of impurities ncorporating a housing with a partition arranged to form two chambers, one containing a ferromagnetic filtering packing and the other, a filtering packing in a ferroelectric material; a space at an end of the housing serving to connect the chambers to each other and pipes at the other end of the housing used to feed and discharge a fluid medium; and a magnetic system for a magnetic field in the zone of the housing.
