    Abstract: A connector assembly for mating with a self-supporting plate fabricated from a conductive material, the plate formed with a plate mounting edge and first and second surfaces extending from the plate mounting edge includes an alignment housing mounted to the plate at the plate mounting edge, wherein the alignment housing defining a receiving chamber therein. The connector assembly also includes a plug housing having a contact held therein. The plug housing is received within the receiving chamber such that the contact slidably engages the first surface and the second surface of the plate.
