In one embodiment, the mist capture device includes a plurality of bodies configured to fit together to form an assembled body around the hydraulic fitting. The mist capture device also includes an internal socket surface formed inside the assembled body configured to engage the hydraulic fitting. The mist capture device further includes a mist enclosure formed inside the assembled body configured to capture hydraulic fluid spraying from the hydraulic fitting as the hydraulic fitting is rotated via the internal socket.
