  • Patent number: 10524942
Abstract: An implant with an open-worked, hollow cylindrical main structure composed of a multiplicity of crosspieces, wherein the implant adopts a compressed state and an expanded state. So as to achieve a greater level of radial rigidity and an increased collapse pressure in the expanded state compared to conventional implants, wherein the deliverability is not adversely affected at the same time, the density of the crosspieces in the expanded state is greater than the density of the crosspieces in the compressed state, at least in one portion of the implant. The invention further provides a system including a catheter with a balloon and an implant of the type disclosed above.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 9, 2013
Date of Patent: January 7, 2020
    Assignee: BIOTRONIK AG
    Inventors: Stefanie Poehlmann, Alexandre Amido
  • Publication number: 20140135891
Abstract: A balloon catheter for the treatment of a stenosis in a bodily vessel (2), in particular for introducing a stent (1) into the bodily vessel (2), wherein the balloon (10) is formed in such a way that, in the expanded state, it adopts the curved or bent three-dimensional form of the bodily vessel (2).

  • Publication number: 20130079865
Abstract: An implant comprising a perforated, preferably hollow-cylindrical basic structure which has at least one section, wherein in each section at least one strut is arranged. In order to achieve a more homogenous coverage of the wall of the treated vessel, a good interlock with the wall of the treated body cavity and a better distribution of the mechanical stresses and elongations, the strut has a multiplicity of identical, simple and interconnected elements, the basic shape of which is substantially similar to the shape of base line elements of an imaginary first order base line which likewise runs in the section, wherein the imaginary first order base line represents a reference line for the arrangement of the elements and the elements are not more than half the size of the base line elements.
