Publication number: 20250217499Abstract: A cryptographic operation is protected. The protecting includes performing a matrix transformation operation on a matrix having n rows and n columns, each row forming a respective vector of a first set of ordered vectors. A second set of ordered vectors is generated by shifting values of vectors of the first set of ordered vectors in a first direction, wherein a pitch of a shift applied to a vector of the first set of ordered vectors is based on an order number of the vector of the first set of ordered vectors. A working vector is generated by logically combining vectors of the second set of ordered vectors. A third set of ordered vectors is generated based on the second set of ordered vectors. A fourth set of ordered vectors is generated based on the third set of ordered vectors and the working vector.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2024Publication date: July 3, 2025Applicant: STMicroelectronics International N.V.Inventors: Pierre-Alexandre BLANC, Michael PEETERS

Publication number: 20240320086Abstract: The present description concerns a method of checking a first data element, executed by an electronic device comprising a processor and a memory, wherein said first data element is not stored in said memory and is divided in N second data elements independent from the first data element, each second data element being stored in said memory, and a result of an application of a XOR function to the N second elements being equal to the first data element, wherein an image of the first data element by a CRC function linear with respect to the XOR function is stored in said memory, and said method comprising a step, executed by said processor, of checking if said image of the first data element by said CRC function is equal to an application of the XOR function to the images of N second elements by said CRC function.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2024Publication date: September 26, 2024Applicant: STMicroelectronics International N.V.Inventors: Pierre-Alexandre BLANC, Gilles VAN ASSCHE

Publication number: 20230404654Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for separating layers of tissue along planes by delivering a gas, such as CO2, under pressure to the tissue. An instrument for dissecting tissue comprises an elongate shaft with a proximal end configured for coupling to an external source of gas and an open distal end fluidly coupled to the proximal end. An internal reservoir containing CO2 under pressure is disposed within the instrument and a valve is coupled to the internal reservoir to open and close an outlet of the reservoir, thereby allowing the CO2 from the internal reservoir to flow through the internal lumen and to a target site within the patient. The internal reservoir of gas allows the CO2 to be delivered to the target site at a substantially higher flow rate, which increases the performance of the device in separating tissue layers.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2023Publication date: December 21, 2023Inventor: Alexandre Blanc

Publication number: 20090036297Abstract: This invention relates to materials suitable as metal scavengers and catalysts. The materials are prepared by functionalizing silicate materials such as silica or SBA-15 with a thiol or amine, or other functionalizing agent, in a sol gel process. In a preferred embodiment, the metal is palladium and the functionalizing agent is a thiol. The material may be used as a catalyst for the Suzuki-Miyaura and Mizoroki-Heck coupling reactions. The catalyst materials have extremely low metal leaching, are very stable, and are completely recyclable.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 7, 2006Publication date: February 5, 2009Applicant: QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY AT KINGSTONInventors: Cathleen M.
