  • Patent number: 12553361
Abstract: A telemetry module system for mounting on a rotatable shaft is provided that includes a telemetry module and a connector ring. The telemetry module includes an annular TM housing, a plurality of transmitters, and a first connectivity board. The TM housing extends axially between first and second TM axial ends. Each transmitter is configured to produce RF signals based on sensor input signals. The first connectivity board has a ring configuration and is in signal communication with the transmitters. The connector ring (CR) has an annular CR housing and a second connectivity board. The CR housing extends axially between first and second CR axial ends. The second connectivity board has a ring configuration and is attached to the CR housing. The second connectivity board is configured to receive sensor input signals. The telemetry module and the connector ring are configured to be disposed in a coupled configuration.

  • Publication number: 20250378232
Abstract: A structural integrity evaluation system for a tank made of a composite material, has: an excitor connected to the tank for inducing a stimulus to the tank; sensors connected to the tank, the sensors including a structural integrity sensor for sensing characteristics of a response of the tank and an operating condition sensor for sensing operating conditions; a controller operatively connected to the excitor and to the sensors and configured to: cause the excitor to induce the stimulus to the tank; obtain the response of the tank to the stimulus; determine a structural state of the tank by feeding the characteristics of the response to the stimulus and the operating conditions to a trained model; and in response to a determination that the structural state of the tank is indicative of an adverse condition, issue an alert indicative that a mitigation action is to be performed on the tank.

  • Patent number: 10677170
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for detecting a threshold vibration condition associated with the operation of a gas turbine engine are disclosed. The apparatus includes a vibration-sensitive trigger mounted to the gas turbine engine for monitoring engine vibration and configured to disturb a sensor signal when a threshold vibration condition is met. The method includes generating one or more sensor signals associated with an operating parameter of the gas turbine engine and providing the one or more sensor signals to a controller of the gas turbine engine; disturbing the one or more sensor signals provided to the controller in response to the threshold vibration condition being met; and detecting the disturbance in the one or more sensor signals provided to the controller and generating one or more output signals indicative of the detected disturbance.
