  • Patent number: 9540665
Abstract: A recycled textile cotton used for producing ethanol by the execution of a process that includes a step of pretreatment of textile cotton by pulping in an extruder, which may or may not involve a grinding step prior to pulping in the extruder, a step of enzymatic hydrolysis, a step of filtration(s), and a step of fermentation.

Date of Patent: January 10, 2017
    Assignee: VALAGRO CARBONE RENOUVELABLE POITOU-CHARENTES
Inventors: Jacques Barbier, Frederic Bataille, Alexandre Briand
  • Patent number: 9328457
Abstract: A process for producing from a lignocellulosic raw material of (i) an intermediate product that is intended for the production of ethanol, containing polysaccharides, cellulose and hemicelluloses, and (ii) a product containing lignin in an aqueous solution without sulfur residue, this lignin could be precipitated. The process includes a step of pulping the raw material in an extruder at a temperature of between 60° C. and 180° C. and in the presence of a quantity of water that represents between 200% and 450% of the mass of said raw material and in the presence of a strong base at a concentration of between 0.5% and 4% relative to the volume of water.

Date of Patent: May 3, 2016
    Assignee: VALAGRO CARBONE RENOUVELABLE POITOU-CHARENTES

  • Publication number: 20130023013
Abstract: A method for obtaining a fermentable product intended for the production of metabolites by fermentation, includes the following steps: a) detoxification of a polluted ligno-cellulosic raw material including at least one polluting component; solid-liquid extraction in order to extract the polluting component(s) from the ligno-cellulosic raw material by solubilisation using at least one solvent; recovery of the cleaned ligno-cellulosic raw material; b) pre-treatment of the cleaned ligno-cellulosic raw material by defibration; c) enzymatic hydrolysis of the pre-treated ligno-cellulosic raw material in the presence of cellulose, and obtaining a fermentable product; d) optional purification of the resulting fermentable product. The use of the resulting fermentable product for producing metabolites by fermentation, as well as to a specific method for producing ethanol from the fermentable product are also described.

  • Publication number: 20110236944
Abstract: A process for the production of an intermediate product from a lignocellulosic raw material that is intended for the production of ethanol, which process includes pulping the raw material in an extruder at a temperature of between 60° C. and 180° C., in the presence of a quantity of water that represents between 200% and 450% of the mass of the raw material and preferably in the presence of a strong acid or a strong base that is weakly concentrated. An intermediate product can be obtained by this process for producing ethanol.
