Abstract: Described are various embodiments of a passenger transport route management system and method. In one embodiment, a vehicular route management system for managing a set of predefined routes to be repetitively executed by a corresponding set of vehicles is described. The system illustratively comprises: a respective onboard user terminal; a network-accessible server operatively associated with a communication interface, a digital data processor and a data storage device. The server directly or indirectly links with each onboard user terminal via the communication interface to process route tracking data to automatically generate and dispatch a revised digital version of a given route based on identified deviations.
