  • Patent number: 11453274
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving, with a vehicle computing system, global position system (GPS) data associated with a vehicle, determining a solar position relative to the vehicle, receiving trip information associated with the vehicle, and executing one or more vehicle actuators based at least in part on the GPS data, the trip information and the solar position relative to the vehicle. Determining the solar position can include determining a sun glare period during a future time period based at least in part on the trip information associated with the vehicle. The vehicle computing system may display a warning indicative of the sun glare period, generate a window tint command that causes the window to tint and/or generate a vent control command that causes the vent to change one or more of an airflow temperature, and an airflow velocity.

  • Patent number: 11379431
Abstract: A system for write optimization in transactional data management systems is described. The system stores a tree data structure that comprises a root, a plurality of internal nodes, and a plurality of leaf nodes. Each internal node comprises a pivot key and a child pointer. Each leaf node stores key-value pairs sorted by a corresponding key. The system forms a plurality of hybrid nodes. The hybrid nodes comprise a layer of internal nodes that are immediate parents of the plurality of leaf nodes. A buffer is formed only for each internal node of the plurality of hybrid nodes. The buffer is used to store a message that encodes an operation. The message is to be applied to the corresponding leaf nodes of the plurality of hybrid nodes.

  • Publication number: 20220204756
Abstract: The invention presented in this document relates to processes for the preparation of a formulation containing poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and aliphatic and/or aromatic polyesters which plasticize it, and its use in monofilaments and films. The presence of polyesters does not remove the biodegradability and composting characteristics of the raw materials used in the formulation. The invention also concerns products that use the formulation.

  • Patent number: 9359012
Abstract: A tolerance compensator for a vehicle frame includes a base member having an upper portion in keyed engagement with a roof structure. The tolerance compensator also has an extension member that is threadably coupled with a lower portion of the base member. A fastener extends up from a body-side structure to threadably engage and move the extension member down into contact with the body-side structure before threadably engaging the base member.

  • Publication number: 20130043027
Abstract: A zonal isolation system for a subterranean well comprises at least one tubular body that comprises at least one semi-permeable membrane, or at least one removable material or both. The semi-permeable membrane is permeable to one or more activators that may cause a cement slurry to begin setting. The tubular body may comprise openings that are covered by or filled with a removable material. After a primary cementing treatment has been completed, the activator may be introduced into the tubular body, whereupon it passes through the tubular body and out into the cement slurry.

  • Publication number: 20070173399
Abstract: The present invention describes a process to obtain zeolites more resistant to calcination in the presence of water vapor at high temperatures, which is a characteristic condition found during the catalyst regeneration in the Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC). One apply the invention to high silica-alumina ratio (SAR) zeolites, for instance the ZSM-5 zeolite, which are able to crack only short hydrocarbon molecules, with normal or slightly branched carbon chain, and which are also able to increase considerably the yields of olefins and LPG. Through the combination of mild pre-calcination and phosphorous deposition one obtain a zeolite which presents higher catalytic activity than zeolites non treated or treated through other processes of the state-of-technique.
