  • Patent number: 11912851
Abstract: A compounded polymer composition suitable for manufacturing of isotropic three-dimensional printed articles may include an impact copolymer, a low crystalline ethylene/?-olefin copolymer; a nucleating agent; and filler, where the impact copolymer may include a matrix phase comprising a propylene-based polymer or copolymer; and a dispersed phase in the matrix phase, the dispersed phase comprising an ethylene-based copolymer, the ethylene-based copolymer having a C3-C12 comonomer, wherein the dispersed phase has a different composition than the matrix phase.

  • Publication number: 20220298328
Abstract: The invention relates to an additive-manufacture feedstock, comprising a heterophasic copolymer having a melt flow rate of from 0.1 to 150 g/10 min (230° C./2.16 kg), measured according to ASTM D 1238, and a fiber blended in the heterophasic copolymer. The first-fiber-blended heterophasic copolymer, when in the form of a printed article, exhibits a minimized warpage. The invention also relates to methods of making the additive-manufacture feedstock and methods of 3D printing using the additive-manufacture feedstock in various forms.

  • Publication number: 20210053276
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an article using an additive manufacturing technique may include melting a polymer composition; activating the polymer composition with one or more activating agents; and depositing the molten polymer composition to manufacture the article. An article may include a plurality of printed layers of a polyolefin composition, wherein the polyolefin composition is prepared from the deposition of an activated polyolefin composition, wherein the polyolefin composition is activated by one or more activating agents.

  • Patent number: 9663648
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a modified polypropylene comprising from 0.3 to 2 long-chain branches per 1,000 carbon atoms, wherein said long-chain branch has more than 1,000 carbon atoms and 0 to 6% of ethene and/or alpha-olefinic comonomer having 3 to 18 carbon atoms. The polypropylene of the present invention is a homopolymer, a random copolymer, or a heterophasic copolymer. The present invention also relates to large, deep, complex and/or thick articles which are thermoformed from said polypropylene. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the process for thermoforming said modified polypropylene into large, deep, complex and/or thick articles. The present invention also relates to the use of the polypropylene to prepare large, deep, complex and/or thick articles.
