    Abstract: The coffin is made by folding, along preformed lines, a single piece part (10) cut from a plate of corrugated cardboard of which at least one of the faces is covered with a cellulose coating which is tinted and decorated so as to give said face a wooden aspect. First the bottom of the coffin is formed by applying to each other two portions (1', 2') of different panels (1, 2) of the part (10) and by fixing said portions (1', 2') to each other by means of fixing tabs (3", 4") inserted into the slots (26a, 26b).
