Abstract: A skate and a replaceable skate blade are disclosed. The skate includes a boot and a blade assembly with a blade holder and a blade removable mounted to the holder. A locking pin is displaceable relative the blade holder between a blade locking position in which a tip of the locking pin is in engagement with the blade and a blade releasing position in which the tip of the locking pin is disengaged from the blade. A pin actuator is engageable by a user for translating the pin actuator along a longitudinal axis of the locking pin, wherein translation of the pin actuator induces translation of the locking pin along the longitudinal axis from the blade locking position to the blade releasing position. A biasing element reacts against the pin actuator and biasing the locking pin in the blade locking position.

Abstract: Protective athletic shoulder pads for a wearer, such as a hockey or lacrosse player. The shoulder pads may comprise a base with protective padding for protecting shoulders of the wearer, a rib protector for protecting ribs of the wearer, and an attachment mechanism configured to allow the rib protector to be removably connected to the base. Alternatively or additionally, the attachment mechanism may allow attachment of the rib protector to the base in one of a plurality of pre-determined positions. A protective athletic system comprising the shoulder pads and an undergarment is also provided.

Abstract: The leg guard for protecting at least a shin of a wearer includes a shin guard body and a strap. A peripheral edge of the shin guard body defines part of a perimeter of the shin guard body. The shin guard body includes a first coupling base and a second coupling base disposed on one of the interior and exterior surfaces. A first coupler is disposed at a first end of the strap and is releasably attachable to the first coupling base at a plurality of first attachment points, and a second coupler is disposed at the second end of the strap and is releasably attachable to the second coupling base at one of a plurality of second attachment points. A length of a wrappable segment is adjustable by releasably attaching the second coupler to the second coupling base at another one of the plurality of second attachment points.

Abstract: A protective pant for a wearer, comprising a pelvic portion for overlying a pelvic region of the wearer to provide impact protection to the pelvic region, leg portions for overlying thighs of the wearer to provide impact protection to the thighs, and a zipperless length adjuster configured to adjust a length of the protective pant. Also, a protective pant for a wearer, the protective pant comprising: an inner base for protecting a pelvic region of the wearer; an outer shell; and a zipperless length adjuster comprising a plurality of adjustment elements on the inner base and a plurality of adjustment elements on the outer shell, each of the adjustment elements on the outer shell configured to be attachable to a corresponding one of the adjustment elements of the inner base in at least two positions to permit length-wise adjustment of the outer shell relative to the inner base.
