Abstract: The present invention relates to a new cryogenic composition intended for use in heat treatment devices, as well as its preparation method. The invention also relates to a heat treatment device, and more particularly to a medical device used to cool a part of the human or animal body, in particular after trauma, inflammation or a surgical procedure. The invention finds application in the therapeutic and/or medical field, but also in other fields such as for example for cooling or maintaining foodstuffs or beverages at low temperatures.
