Abstract: A lighting fixture (100) is disclosed that includes an upper housing (101) that includes an electrical component (107) and a lower housing (102) that includes a lighting module (104) that is electrically coupled to the electrical component (107) using a wire positioned in a wire channel. A first seal (200) including a wire pathway (201) and a slit (202) can be positioned with a first orientation in the wire channel (110) and allow the wire to pass there through using the wire pathway (201) and the slit (202). When the first seal (200) is positioned with the first orientation in the wire channel (110) the possibility of water penetration into one or both of the upper housing (101) or the lower housing (102) via the wire channel (110) is reduced. The first seal (200) can be positioned with a second orientation in the wire channel (110) so that the wire pathway (201) is perpendicular to the wire channel (110) when no wire is needed.

Abstract: According to certain embodiments, an apparatus comprises: a driver including: a printed circuit board (PCB) comprising a top surface and a rear surface; and a light engine interface disposed on the rear surface of the PCB; a housing including: a hole; and a retaining ledge disposed at a periphery of the housing; and a light engine including: a substrate having a top surface, a rear surface, and a side surface; a light engine connector disposed on the top surface of the substrate; a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed on the rear surface of the substrate, wherein the plurality of LEDs is electrically connected to the light engine connector; and a plurality of clips disposed on the side surface of the substrate, the plurality of clips configured to resist an inward lateral force; wherein the plurality of clips fastens the substrate to the housing, and wherein the light engine connector and the light engine interface protrude through the hole and are electrically connected to each other.

Abstract: Apparatus for a lighting fixture or luminaire latching mechanism. A lighting fixture's housing (16) is hinged at one end or portion and includes a door (14) which latches to the housing (16) at an opposite end. A latch (12), which contains a mating hook (32), is connected to the housing (16). A latching surface (28) on the housing (16) interlocks with the mating hook (32) when the door (14) is closed. The latch member includes a main (36) and secondary flexing portion (40) with the mating hook (32) therebetween, as well as door push portion (44) and handle portion (42). The door (14) is opened by applying a force to the handle portion (42) which deforms the main (36) and secondary flexing portion (40) to disengage the mating hook (32) from the latching surface (28), as well as pushing or applying a force to the door to help disengage it from the housing (16).
