  • Publication number: 20240253949
Abstract: An adjustable elevator landing architrave (300) for an elevator landing doorway assembly (400). The adjustable elevator landing architrave (300) includes a first piece (100) for arranging next to an elevator landing door system (410), the first piece (100) having a first length in an overlap direction, for at least partially obscuring the doorframe (420) from view; and a second piece (200) having a first width for at least partially obscuring from view a portion (406) of the elevator landing door system (410) extending beyond the doorframe (420); the second piece (200) further having a first length in the overlap direction, for at least partially overlapping with the first length of the first piece (100) to define an adjustable overlap length (301). The overall length (302) of the adjustable elevator landing architrave (300) can be adjusted dependent on the adjustable overlap length (301).

  • Patent number: 11286134
Abstract: Elevator car door systems are provided. The systems include an elevator car having a car door and a movable car door coupling attached to the car and arranged to control operation of the car door. A mounting bracket is attached to the car, a first blade is attached to the mounting bracket, a second blade is attached to the mounting bracket, and a deterrent is attached to the mounting bracket. The first and second blades are operable a landing door coupling to operate the car door. A portion of the movable car door coupling is arranged to contact a ceiling of an elevator shaft during an overrun event when and move a part of the movable car door coupling relative to the car, and when the portion is not in contact with the ceiling, a biasing element urges the portion toward a normal position.

  • Patent number: 11091351
Abstract: Elevator lintel door lock safety devices having a frame mountable to a lintel, a lintel door lock fixed to the frame and having a first lock element rotatable relative to a second lock element, a contact plate fixed to the first lock element and moveable therewith, the contact plate having at least one contact attached thereto, a contact receiver attached to the frame and part of a safety chain, the contact receiver having at least one contact receiver aperture arranged to receive a respective contact of the contact plate, and a blocking element pivotably mounted to the frame wherein a portion of the blocking element is moveable between (i) a first position to prevent the at least one contact from engaging with a respective contact receiver aperture and (ii) a second position that allows the at least one contact to engage with the respective contact receiver aperture.

  • Patent number: 10968075
Abstract: An elevator system (10) includes a hoistway (14) having a plurality of landing floors (34) each landing floor (34) having a landing floor door (36). An elevator car (12) is positioned in and drivable along the hoistway (14). A controller (38) restricts operation of the landing floor doors (36) based on a position of the elevator car (12) along the hoistway (14). A method of operating an elevator system (10) includes driving an elevator car (12) along a hoistway (14) of the elevator system (10) and determining a position of the elevator car (12) in the hoistway (14). Operation of a plurality of hoistway landing floor doors (36) is controlled based on the position of the elevator car (12) in the hoistway (14).

  • Patent number: 10914097
Abstract: A landing door locking mechanism of an elevator system includes a body housing key-engagement elements and having a first end and a second end, the key-engagement elements located at the first end and a keyway structure, wherein in a first position the first end of the body is exposed such that a key may be inserted into a keyway of the keyway structure and interact with the key-engagement elements. A biasing mechanism is configured to bias a moveable portion of the body toward a second position, wherein in the second position a key cannot interact with the key-engagement elements and a solenoid is configured to apply a force on the moveable portion of the body when the solenoid is energized such that the moveable portion of the body is moved from the second position to the first position.
