  • Patent number: 7878021
Abstract: An ice-cream maker including a blade (30a) arranged in a double-walled container (20a), and a housing (1) containing a driving mechanism (10) that can generate a blade-rotating movement (30a) in relation to the double-walled container (20a), the double-walled container (20a) being composed of an external wall (23) and an internal wall (24) defining a housing (25) containing a phase changing mixture having a fusion range extending at least partially below 0° C. The inner wall (24) forms a vat (26), and the blade (301a; 30b?) is used to scrape the inner wall (24; 24?). The blade (30a) forms a spoon.

  • Patent number: 7347137
Abstract: The invention concerns an espresso coffeemaker having a removable water reservoir (4) connected to a main hydraulic circuit including a pump which sucks up water from the reservoir (4) and sends it into a heating unit and hence through the ground coffee contained in a filter-holder, said reservoir (4) being also connected to a return water hydraulic circuit exiting from the heating unit. The invention is characterized in that the device (28) connecting said reservoir (4) to said hydraulic circuits comprises means for expanding (49) the water jet returning through the hydraulic circuit to the reservoir and means for directing (44) said jet to a storage zone.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 27, 2003
Date of Patent: March 25, 2008
    Assignee: SEB S.A.

  • Patent number: 5566605
Abstract: An extraction cell of the centrifugal type for a hot beverage preparation machine, including a grounds collection drum on which is mounted, in a sealed manner by a sealing structure, a cover provided with a liquid delivery orifice, and a filtration structure, wherein the filtration structure and the sealing structure are constituted by at least one deformable joint, or seal, interposed in a groove between the drum and cover, the joint having deformation properties, and being mounted to be compressed by an amount which is in a pre-established compression range with the aid of a compression controlling means, to insure that below a pre-established operating pressure existing in the cell, fluid tightness of the cell is maintained, and beyond that pressure, filtration of the grounds-liquid mixture occurs by deformation of the joint.
