    Abstract: A system for recovery of a hydrocarbon-containing fluid from a hydrocarbon-bearing formation is disclosed. The system comprises a power plant, a carbon dioxide recovery plant, a liquefaction device and an injection device. The power plant comprises an internal combustion engine which is configured to receive a gas separated from the hydrocarbon-containing fluid. The internal combustion engine is configured to operate by combusting the separated gas with air and to discharge an exhaust gas. Moreover, the internal combustion engine is configured to produce a compressed gas-air mixture comprising the separated gas and the air. On top of that, the internal combustion engine is configured to produce the compressed gas-air mixture prior to the combustion. The carbon dioxide separation plant is configured to recover a carbon dioxide-containing constituent of the exhaust gas from the exhaust gas.

    Abstract: A method and system for recovery of hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbon-bearing formation. A gaseous component of the produced hydrocarbon-containing fluid is separated from the fluid. The gaseous component is combusted with air in a power plant. Mixing and compressing of the gaseous component and air are realized to produce a flammable and pressurized gas-air mixture prior to combustion. An exhaust gas resulting from combustion is injected into the formation.

    Abstract: The invention relates to oil and natural gas production and can be used for recovering hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon-bearing formations, for example, from oil-bearing formations, or, for example, from gas-condensate reservoirs. A method for recovery of hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbon-bearing formation, comprises: recovering a hydrocarbon-containing fluid through at least one production well, separating at least a part of a gaseous mixture from the fluid, injecting a gas through injection well. The separated gaseous mixture (all or a part of it) is combusted with air, which is used as oxidant, in a power plant, and, exhaust gases resulting from said combustion, which comprise nitrogen and carbon dioxide, are discharged from the power plant. Said air and the separated gaseous mixture are mixed and a gas-air mixture resulting from said mixing is compressed prior to said combustion, or the gas-air mixture is ignited during said compression.
