Abstract: A target device for use in training armed personnel is described including: a base portion which includes locomotion means for propelling the target around in a training area; a humanoid target is mounted in association with the base portion; the humanoid target adopts a normally upright position and is controllable to move to adopt a range of rotational positions away from the normally upright position in both of a forwards direction and a backwards direction.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a live fire training environment are described, the methods including the steps of: providing a number of moveable targets, the targets being arranged to move across a ground surface; introducing the targets into a live fire training area, the live fire training area having at least one firing position where participants take up position to fire at the targets; and instructing the targets to commence repeated movements in a generally side to side fashion with respect to the at least one firing position.

Abstract: Systems and methods of arranging a firearms training scenario utilising at least one robotic mobile target in a training area are disclosed, the method including the steps of: sending commands to at least one robotic target in a training area to cause the target to operate in the training area; recording operations data representative of the operations carried out by the at least one robotic target; and subsequently conducting a training scenario in the training area wherein the at least one robotic target bases its actions at least partially on the previously recorded operations data.
