  • Publication number: 20230376297
Abstract: A computing system may receive a request for application update information for one or more applications installed on a computing device. The computing system determines, based on the request for the application update information, a set of applications that need to be updated and applies a machine learning model to determine a respective update priority score for each application from the set of applications. The computing system sends an indication of the respective update priority scores for the set of applications to the computing device. Responsive to receiving an update request from the computing device, the computing system initiates installation of the pending update for the at least one application from the set of applications.

  • Publication number: 20170223005
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include computerized methods, systems, and devices, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for device authentication. For example, the resource device may generate and maintain master access tokens, which may be transmitted to a computing system. The computing system may receive, from a device of an owner of the resource device, data granting a client device limited access to the resource device in accordance with various access restrictions. The computing system may generate and provide to the client device a limited version of the master access token that specifies the access restrictions. The client device may present the local access token to the resource device over a direct wireless connection, and the resource device may verify the token and grant the requested access without communication with the computing system.

  • Publication number: 20050051726
Abstract: A single-photon detector includes a superconductor strip biased near its critical current. The superconductor strip provides a discernible output signal upon absorption of a single incident photon. In one example, the superconductor is a strip of NbN (niobium nitride). In another example, the superconductor strip meanders to increase its probability of receiving a photon from a light source. The single-photon detector is suitable for a variety of applications including free-space and satellite communications, quantum communications, quantum cryptography, weak luminescence, and semiconductor device testing.
