  • Patent number: 6875054
Abstract: An apparatus for effecting an improved electrical connection structure between a component and a substrate in an installed orientation is employed where the component presents at least one electrical connection lead for establishing the electrical connection. The apparatus includes a mass of compressible dielectric material substantially fixedly situated between the component and the substrate in the installed orientation in substantially surrounding relation about the at least one electrical connection lead and substantially in register with the component.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 5, 2005
Assignee: Tyco Electronics Power Systems Inc.
Inventors: David Donaldson, Alexis Neal, Paul Scott Nessman, Steven John Vargo
  • Publication number: 20040005813
Abstract: An apparatus for effecting an improved electrical connection structure between a first component and a second component in an installed orientation is advantageously employed where at least one of the components presents at least one electrical connection lead for establishing the electrical connection. The apparatus includes a mass of compressible dielectric material substantially fixedly situated between the first component and the second component in the installed orientation in substantially surrounding relation about the at least one electrical connection lead.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 5, 2002

  • Patent number: 4048507
Abstract: A pair of separated semi-radio opaque sheets having a similar target pattern removed therefrom are placed in parallel alignment with the targets in perpendicular alignment. When exposed to an X-ray beam of a diagnostic X-ray machine, the targets produce a pattern in the radiograph in which the two targets are superimposed in slight misalignment except where the X-ray beam is perpendicular, thereby locating the perpendicular X-ray beam position with respect to the collimator jaws and visual target of the machine.
