Patent number: 11337715Abstract: The present subject matter is directed to an endoscopic grasping device for capturing objects within a human subject. The device includes a fork; and two jaws pivotally mounted about a pivot point to the fork, and movable between a predetermined closed position and a predetermined open position. Each jaw comprises front teeth near a distal end of the jaw. The front teeth of both jaws are configured to substantially mesh with each other when the jaws are in the closed position. The substantially meshed front teeth of both jaws in the closed position form a substantially hemisphere-shaped distal tip.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2016Date of Patent: May 24, 2022Assignee: UNITED STATES ENDOSCOPY GROUP, INC.Inventors: Joseph Michelini, Alexis Uspenski, Alison Streiff, Keith R. Patent number: 8714076Abstract: A system and process for steeping tea in a vessel is disclosed. The present invention incorporates the use of an infusing filter seated on or within a vessel and a lid or retaining mechanism to steep tea in water. The vessel has an retaining ledge that supports a mating infuser placed inside. The infuser seats in a stationery position on the mating ledge inside the vessel, offset from the center of the vessel, to allow for stirring, pouring or drinking of the resulting beverage without introducing the infusible material into the resulting steeped beverage product. The infuser comprises a filter element that holds the infusible material and allows contact with the water. The infusing filter is retained in its seated position in the cup, ether by a lid or positive locking mechanism that allows for the safe and convenient portage of the tea steeping assembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2011Date of Patent: May 6, 2014Inventors: Maria Uspenski, Alexis Uspenski

Patent number: 7470215Abstract: A drivetrain including a primary clutch and a secondary clutch is well-suited for use in a single-speed vehicle. The primary clutch may be automatically-engaging or manually-engaging. The secondary clutch, preferably, is normally engaged and is configured to disengage, or slip, at a threshold torque level. Desirably, the slip torque level of the secondary clutch is configured to be greater than the peak engine torque of the vehicle such that disengagement of the secondary clutch due to engine-supplied torque does not occur.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2006Date of Patent: December 30, 2008Assignee: Cobra Motorcycle Mfg., Inc.Inventors: Bud Maimone, Alexis Uspenski

Patent number: 6313798Abstract: A microstrip antenna includes a ground plane element and a radiating element. An elongated trough is formed generally in the middle of the radiating element so as to divide the radiating element into two generally equally-sized portions, and in a manner to extend outward from a bottom surface of the radiating element. The trough includes a first side edge, a second side edge, and a bottom surface. A first radiating portion extends from the first side edge, and a second radiating portion extends from the second side edge. The trough provides an elongated microstrip-size element at the bottom surface of the trough. A relatively thin dielectric layer is provided between the bottom surface of the trough and a corresponding portion of the ground plane element, thereby providing that a microstrip transmission line is formed by the bottom surface of the trough, the thin dielectric layer, and the corresponding portion of the ground plane element.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2000Date of Patent: November 6, 2001Assignee: Centurion Wireless Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Randy Cecil Bancroft, Blaine Rexel Bateman, Alexis Uspenski

Patent number: 6133883Abstract: An antenna is formed from a single sheet of generally planar metal that is cut to provide four geometric antenna shapes that comprise a ground plane element, a two-section shorting element that is defined by two generally parallel fold lines, a radiating element, and an arm that has one end fixed to a generally central portion of the radiating element and has a free end that extends toward a fold line. Folding the metal sheet on the two fold lines positions the radiating element above the ground plane element. A transmit/receive coaxial cable is aligned with a gap that is formed between the two sections of the shorting element. The cable's outer metal sheath is connected to a metal tab, and the metal tab is secured to a surface of the ground plane element. The cable's center conductor is secured to a surface of the radiating element. A radome and its mounting tab complete the antenna assembly.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1999Date of Patent: October 17, 2000Assignee: Xertex Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Robert Eugene Munson, Randy Cecil Bancroft, Blaine Rexel Bateman, Joseph Theofil Negler, Alexis Uspenski, Edward Earl Ward
