  • Publication number: 20240066293
Abstract: Methods and devices for implanting spinal cord stimulation devices, including thin-film spinal cord stimulation devices. In some embodiments, the devices include an introduction needle and/or sheath, a stylet, and a pushing device for urging a stimulation device into the epidural space by controlling the proximal end of the device, including, in some cases, deformable thin-film spinal cord stimulation devices. Further implementations include a deployment device for ensuring deployment of the stimulation device in the epidural space. In other embodiments, the devices include sutures attached to a distal portion of the stimulation device, at least one introduction tube, a lead introduction device, and/or a suture introduction device for urging a stimulation device into the epidural space by controlling both the proximal and distal ends of the device, including, in some cases, deformable thin-film spinal cord stimulation devices.

  • Patent number: 5916638
Abstract: A method for applying a coating to the tips 46 of an array of flow directing assemblies 42 such as an array of rotor blades or stator vanes is disclosed. various steps in the method are developed which decrease cost and increase the efficiency of the method. In one particular embodiment, the step of surface preparation and coating applications are performed with the same fixture without removing or reinstalling the assemblies.

  • Patent number: 5879753
Abstract: A process for controllably applying thermal spray coating onto substrates is described. The process includes positioning rotor blades in a fixture rotatable about an axis, forming a spray of particles of softened coating medium in an apparatus for propelling the coating medium towards the blade tips and coating the blade tips by passing the blades through the spray of particles of coating medium. Various process details, including process parameters, are developed.
