  • Patent number: 11771441
Abstract: Various implementations relate to a guide device for spinal surgery, comprising: two guide sleeves extending between a proximal end and a distal end for guiding a surgical intervention on a vertebra of a patient; a plurality of support elements, wherein each support element defines a contact area specifically configured for abutting against a portion of a virtual surface reproducing the vertebra of the patient, in a coupling configuration; and at least one junction element joining the two guide sleeves together. Each guide sleeve comprises a respective auxiliary sleeve extending between a proximal end and a distal end, and the proximal end of the auxiliary sleeve is located in proximity to the proximal end of the respective guide sleeve.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 8, 2019
Date of Patent: October 3, 2023
    Assignee: Medacta International SA

  • Patent number: 10729482
Abstract: A bone fixation device (1) comprises an elongated member (2) and a washer (3) assembled in a manner to prevent relative longitudinal displacement at the same time allowing axial rotation of the washer (3) with respect of the elongated member (2). The elongated member (2) comprises a proximal head (4) and an elongated shaft (5). The proximal head (4) comprises at least a distal spherical portion (8) having a diameter (D) and defining a maximum transversal dimension (Dh) of the proximal head (4). The washer (3) has a central cavity (14) configured to seat the proximal head (4) and comprising a central spherical portion (15) having the same diameter (D) of the distal spherical portion (8) of the proximal head (4). The central spherical portion (15) extends between a distal rim (16) and a proximal rim (17).

  • Patent number: 10631901
Abstract: A device may include an outer sleeve with a hollow interior, and an inner sleeve with a hollow interior to couple axially and slidingly. The outer sleeve may include an outer central body, an outer proximal end part and an outer distal end part integrally connected to one another, and an outer channel extending along the entire outer proximal end part and along a substantial portion of the outer central body. The inner sleeve may include an inner central body, an inner proximal end part and an inner distal end part integrally connected to one another, and an inner channel extending along the entire inner proximal end part and along a substantial part of the inner central body. The inner sleeve may include, in the inner proximal end of the inner sleeve, a lateral engagement element, and an axial engagement element for releasably engaging a surgical screw.

  • Patent number: 9216016
Abstract: A surgical device is disclosed which may advantageously perform the functions of both a retractor and a distractor. The device has two retractor blades facing each other and held in a common frame, the retractor blades are insertable into a surgical incision in a patient and moveable away from each other along a main axis (x) so as to widen the surgical incision; and a connecting pin attached at a distal end of each retractor blade. Each connecting pin is attachable to a pedicle screw anchored to respective vertebrae of the patient, so that moving away the two retractor blades along the main axis (x) determines a distraction of the vertebrae.
