  • Patent number: 5061931
Abstract: Recursive system for the forming of a radar image by means of a SAR sensor, for application preferably related to the radar field, essentially having a monodimensional transformation system (1) of the signal received by the radar; a convolution element (2) of the same signal by means of a monodimensional inverse transformation (3). The result of the convolution is retro-projected by means of element (4). In turn, the result of this operation, envelope-detected (5), provides an estimate of the electromagnetic characteristics of the teledetected scene. The invention belongs to the radar application field, and more precisely to that of synthetic aperture radars for teledetection. It finds its best application in the area of synthetic aperture radar signal processing.

  • Patent number: 4742353
Abstract: A digital processor for radar signals which can perform adaptive suppression of the disturbance clutter and enhancement of the useful signal of given Doppler frequency. It can approximate the principle of operation of the optimum processor, which is that processor which maximizes the signal-to-noise ratio. Such processor can also cancel, in a adaptive manner, a clutter component having an approximately Gaussian power spectrum.

  • Patent number: 4719466
Abstract: Adaptive radar signal processor apt to detect the useful echo in the presence of an additive disturbance made up of clutter and noise, through which the disturbance can be cancelled and the useful signal can be enhanced by means of the synthesis of a filter, adapted to the useful signal, which rejects the disturbance spectrum frequency components by adapting itself in real time to its variations.

  • Patent number: 4573051
Abstract: A radar antenna with a collector of microwave energy incident along the main lobe of its radiation pattern, feeding a processor whose principal channel generates a raw output signal, is provided within the effective area of that collector with one or more ancillary radiation receivers intercepting energy from side lobes encumbered by interfering signals from directional jammers. The output signals of auxiliary channels connected to the ancillary radiation receivers are subtracted in the processor, at an intermediate-frequency level, from the raw output signal of the principal channel to produce a useful signal which is fed back to an adaptive cancellation loop in each of these auxiliary channels.

  • Patent number: 4549183
Abstract: An electronically or mechanically scanning monopulse radar has an antenna feeding incident microwave energy contaminated by jamming signal to a processor which has a sum channel and one or two difference channels generating a raw sum signal .SIGMA. along with a raw azimuthal difference signal .DELTA..sub..theta. and/or a raw elevational difference signal .DELTA..sub..phi.. Each channel includes an algebraic adder subtracting from its own raw output signal a contamination signal representing estimated disturbance which is derived with the aid of an adaptive cancellation loop from the raw output signal or signals of the other channel or channels, thereby producing a purged sum signal .SIGMA.' as well as one or two purged difference signals .DELTA.'.sub..theta., .DELTA.'.sub..phi.. The purged output signal of each channel is fed back to the corresponding cancellation loop for correlation with the raw output signal or signals from the other channel or channels.
