  • Patent number: 11616742
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to methods and systems for transferring a user's messaging history from one device to another. A user's primary device, storing the official truth of the user's messaging history, establishes an end-to-end encrypted session with a new device, using a first decryption key during initial session setup. The primary device may conglomerate all or a portion of the messages comprising the user's messaging history into a data blob which is encrypted and sent to a blob store. An E2E encrypted message is sent from the primary device to the new device, via an intermediate server. The E2E encrypted message includes a second key for decrypting the data blob and a pointer to the location of data blob on the blob store. The new device retrieves the data blob from the blob store and decrypts the data blob using the second key to extract plaintext versions of the user's messages and adds the messages to the messaging application on the new device.

  • Publication number: 20220244910
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling voice-based interactions with electronic devices can include a data processing system maintaining a plurality of device action data sets and a respective identifier for each device action data set. The data processing system can receive, from an electronic device, an audio signal representing a voice query and an identifier. The data processing system can identify, using the identifier, a device action data set. The data processing system can identify a device action from device action data set based on content of the audio signal. The data processing system can then identify, from the device action dataset, a command associated with the device action and send the command to the for execution device for execution.

  • Patent number: 9338634
Abstract: A system and method is provided for discovering capabilities of a first device communicating with a second device using a telecommunications network. The first and second devices are registered at a service platform. The first and second devices access the service platform through first and second core networks. At the first core network, a request is received from the second device for discovering capabilities of the first device. The first core network determines a first status indicator of the first device. The request is routed from the second device to an application server. The first status indicator of the first device is identified by the application server and a second status indicator of the first device is determined. A response is sent from the application server to the second device, the response containing feature tags describing a set of services supported by the first device.
