Abstract: A roof anchoring kit includes a number of bracing plates, each bracing plate having two spaced apart plate ports, for placing on top of a roof panel; a number of loop forming members passing through the opposing plate ports of each bracing plate, and for passing through openings in an abutting roof panel and around a corresponding roof beam below the bracing plate, and for tying to form a loop securing the corresponding bracing plate, the adjacent roof panel and roof beam together; a number of tie down lines connected to a linear series of the loop forming members and extending across the roof and then down to part of one of a building wall and a foundation or to where the end of the tie down line is tied; and a number of crossing lines extending perpendicular to the tie down lines and connected to a series of the loop forming members on a series of roof beams, where ends of the tie down lines and crossing lines are anchored.

Abstract: A chain net tie down kit includes several multilink chain segments; several chain connecting mechanisms for connecting the chain segments for forming a chain net matching the size and dimensions of a particular portion of a building; and several chain anchoring fasteners for anchoring the chain net over the particular portion of a building. The several chain anchoring fasteners preferably include at least one of: a wall anchoring fastener and a ground anchor. The chain net tie down kit preferably additionally includes several door anchoring fasteners. The chain net tie down kit preferably still additionally includes several window frame anchoring fasteners. The chain segments optionally are of uniform length. The chain segments alternatively are of varied lengths. Groups of the several chain segments optionally are provided pre-assembled into modular net sections for linking together to construct a composite chain net.

Abstract: A storm shelter kit is provided including several enclosure wall panels; wall panel interconnection structures for joining the enclosure wall panels together to define an enclosure having side and top enclosure wall portions; and several soil retaining panels for placement around the enclosure for supporting soil placed around and at least partially covering the enclosure wall panels. The storm shelter kit includes at least one set of the soil retaining panels of progressively decreasing height, for placement in series in progressively increasing distances from the enclosure and for receiving soil between the enclosure and the soil retaining panels and between the soil retaining panels, to define a mound of soil of selectable shape surrounding the enclosure and at least partially covering the wall panels. The wall panels preferably are formed of corrugated steel.

Abstract: A speargun apparatus includes a rearward stock portion including a spear engaging structure; a forward stock portion including a speargun body and sling mount and a spear propulsion sling; and a hydraulic drive mechanism interconnecting the rearward stock portion and the forward stock portion for separating the rearward stock portion and the forward stock portion to increase tension in the sling. The forward stock portion preferably includes a longitudinal passageway and the rearward stock portion preferably includes a forwardly protruding guide rod slidably fitting into the longitudinal passageway for strengthening and stabilizing the apparatus when the forward stock portion and the rearward stock portion are separated.

Abstract: A crossbow apparatus includes a rearward stock portion including a bow string engaging structure; a forward stock portion including a bow fitted with a bow string; and a hydraulic drive mechanism interconnecting the rearward stock portion and the forward stock portion for separating the rearward stock portion and the forward stock portion while the bow string is engaged by the engaging structure to draw the bow. Abstract: An apparatus for strengthening building structure against hurricanes and wind storms. Several support beams are removably mounted adjacent to the building structure. A net member is positioned over the roof of the building structure. Cables are used to interconnect the support beam members and to keep the net in place. Anchorage assemblies keep support beam members in place. Tension adjusting devices are used to tighten the cables against the structure being protected.
