Abstract: A dual expansion and non-expansion anchor comprising a pair of inner and outer expansion fasteners connected to each other by means of a screw-threaded connecting tie, said expansion fasteners being adjustable on the connecting tie to adjust to the spaced positions of an inner supporting structure and an outer supported wall. Insertion limiting means is provided to limit insertion of the inner fastener into the inner supporting structure in order to fix the position of said inner fastener in said supporting structure. Torque applying means applied to the connecting tie inserts and sets the inner fastener. Torque applying means applied to a nut on the connecting tie expands the outer expansion fastener.

Abstract: In combination with a conventional toggle fastener adapted for insertion into and to secure behind a blind entry, a ratchet assembly adapted to retain the toggle fastener in the blind entry and to adjust for the depth of such entry, the ratchet assembly comprising at least one ratchet bar and a cooperating ratchet retainer adapted to slide on the ratchet bar. Excess length of the ratchet bar is removed to permit a conventional screw fastener to be engaged through the blind entry to the toggle wing assembly. The ratchet bar may be comprised of a ribbed construction, such as a saw-toothed surface, or a sequence of retaining openings therein.
