  • Patent number: 5503026
Abstract: In a process for the determine ton of a volume flow a fluid is passed through a measuring line with a defined cross-section. In the measuring line the flow rate and the fill degree of the measuring line are determined and the volume flow is determined from the flow rate, the measuring line cross-section and fill degree. The determination of the flow rate and the fill degree takes place with a single measuring chamber at the same time and at the same location with respect to the axial extension of the measuring line.

  • Patent number: 5320733
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor system for determining the moisture content in a gas to be measured. On the basis of two current saturation ranges during the determination of the moisture content with the aid of a zirconia sensor, according to the invention two spatially separated sensors are provided, which are operated at different voltages corresponding to the individual saturation current ranges. By further evaluation of the signals, this permits a very precise, on-line determination of the moisture content of the gas to be measured.

  • Patent number: 5258603
Abstract: The invention concerns a reading head with a tapered reading opening and/or a tapered reading stylus for reading bar-type, especially passive magnetic information on a data carrier. A high resolution in reading this information with a high output signal is obtained by tapering the reading opening in direction of the end face of the reading head. The reading head is located in a casing pot and has at least one field plate sensor, on which side remote from the face a permanent magnet is placed with a magnetic shunt to the casing pot.

  • Patent number: 5169234
Abstract: An infrared temperature sensor with a sensor element sensitive for infrared radiation and which generates an analog output signal, permits a speed-variable and resolution-variable infrared temperature measurement, in that at least one resolution-adjustable converter means is provided for converting the analog signal into a digital signal and in that a digital signal processing means is provided for the program-controlled linearization and evaluation of the digital signal.

  • Patent number: 4941240
Abstract: Beam warping machine with a device for the maintenance of required yarn tension in a group of yarns (5) with rolls (7, 8; 34, 35, 36) around which said group of yarns is wound following an S-shaped path in continuous operation, said pair of rolls being driven without slippage in a operative position (51), whereby brakes (30) acting upon the warp beam (3) are activated when the machine is stopped while at the same time one of the rolls (7,35) is swivelled radially out of its operative position (51) and away from the yarn group (5), whereby the swivelling motion ends in a slippage position (37) which can be selectively adjusted as to degree of swivelling by means of an adjustment link (39), whereby the yarns in the area of the rolls (7, 8; 34, 35,36) braked with the displacement assumes a path allowing for slippage of the yarn group (5) against the rolls (7, 8; 35, 36), said path being straighter than the S-shape.

  • Patent number: 4736602
Abstract: This invention relates to a warp knitting machine in which the knitting elements and each of the warp beams are driven by separate electric motors, powered from a common electrical network. An electric clutch is included in the drive connection between each warp beam and its electric motor and said clutch is energized by the same electric network which powers the electric motors. The electric clutch is energized when electric current is supplied to it by the network and connects the warp beams with their own electric motors. Whenever the electric current in the network is interrupted, the electric clutch is disengaged.
