Patent number: 12152920Abstract: The Coriolis mass flowmeter comprises a measuring transducer having a vibration element, an exciter arrangement, and a sensor arrangement The flowmeter further includes an electronic transmitter circuit coupled with the exciter arrangement and the sensor arrangement. The transmitter circuit supplies power to the exciter arrangement to force mechanical oscillations having a wanted frequency. The sensor arrangement includes two electrodynamic oscillation sensors to convert oscillatory movements of the vibration element into an electrical signal having an alternating voltage having an amplitude dependent on the wanted frequency and on a magnetic flux of its oscillation sensor. The sensor arrangement includes a magnetic field detector adapted to convert changes of the magnetic field into a magnetic field signal having an amplitude dependent on a magnetic flux and/or an areal density of the magnetic flux.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2019Date of Patent: November 26, 2024Assignee: Endress+Hauser Flowtec AGInventors: Robert Lalla, Alfred Rieder, Ennio Bitto, Marcel Braun

Publication number: 20220297302Abstract: An equipping arrangement for equipping connector housings with fitted-out cable ends of cables has an equipping gripping unit that provides subsequent gripping, when necessary, during inserting the fitted-out cable end into the connector housing. A cable gripper has two gripper jaws grasping and gripping the cable when actuated by an actuator operated with fluid pressure. An alignment module rotationally corrects alignment of the fitted-out cable end using an optical detection device determining the rotational position of the fitted-out cable end. The detection device monitors an opening motion of the gripper jaws to create an intermediate position. A control unit controls the actuator and calibrates the actuator with regard to the subsequent gripping based on data of the opening motion of the gripper jaws determined by the detection device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2022Publication date: September 22, 2022Inventors: Alfred Braun, Pascal Suter

Patent number: 10014644Abstract: An apparatus for the formation of a wire loop comprises a wire drive for advancing a wire and a loop layer to grip a first end of the wire and to lay a wire loop. When the wire is advanced, the wire loop is formed into a selected size. The apparatus also includes a pull-out gripper and a sensor device, the pull-out gripper being configured to grasp the wire of the wire loop and, after grasping the wire of the wire loop, move relative to the loop layer, thereby tensioning the wire loop in a longitudinal direction. The sensor device can detect a twist in the wire loop.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2011Date of Patent: July 3, 2018Assignee: KOMAX HOLDING AGInventors: Reto Eggimann, Alfred Braun

Patent number: 7647759Abstract: In a wire-processing device, the wire executes turns through being pulled out of a drum. The leading wire-end is held by a gripper of a loop-former. A wire that has been cut to length is held at its leading and trailing ends by an untwisting unit, the wire having before the untwisting operation a doubled-backed loop. A transfer unit takes the leading and trailing ends from the loop-former and passes the wire to the untwisting unit. After the untwisting operation, the transfer unit feeds the wire-ends to the processing units that process the wire-ends. A bundling unit takes the processed wires from the transfer unit, the bundling unit forming a wire bundle with the wires. With the untwisted wires, the wire bundle has neither doubled-back loops nor knots.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2006Date of Patent: January 19, 2010Assignee: Komax Holding AGInventors: Alfred Braun, Zane Meredith, Werner Bucher

Patent number: 5339002Abstract: To permit rapid adjustment of a holder structure (4) within which a singlnded pinch-sealed light source, for example a halogen incandescent lamp (1, 2) is retained, to a positioning or locating element having an optical reference surface (17a) to accurately align the light emitting element (2) of the light source with respect to an optical system, for example a reflector, a tubular adjustment sleeve (10) is provided into which the holder structure is fitted. The tubular adjustment sleeve has an essentially cylindrical portion (11) and a slightly conically converging portion (12) or an inwardly extending rim or ring (12') to permit rotational, axial and tilting adjustment of the holder structure to which the light source (1) is coupled with respect thereto. The tubular sleeve is formed with a laterally projecting flange (14, 14a) formed with a plane, burr-free engagement surface (14b) which fits against an auxiliary plane, flat reference surface (18b) on the positioning or locating element (15).Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 1991Date of Patent: August 16, 1994Assignee: Patent-Treuhand-Gesellschaft F. Electrische Gluehlampen mbHInventors: Alfred Braun, Peter Helbig, Hermann Steiner, Walter Schoenherr

Patent number: 5153480Abstract: To improve shock and vibration resistance and heat dissipation of an attaent element (1) coupling the pinch seal (3) of a halogen incandescent lamp (2) to a plastic base (6), the attachment element is formed of two identical half-sections, surrounding the pinch seal in the shape of a cuff (4) and connected to a flange or skirt by an intermediate heat dissipation and shock absorbing portion (7, 11, 12, 13, 14). Preferably, the intermediate portion forms a connecting section, which can be bent into U or double U configuration off the upper region of the flange or skirt portion (8a, 8b), to provide a large heat radiating surface while retaining the pinch seal of the lamp between undulating sheet-metal portions. Preferably, the attachment element is made of unitary sections of high-quality specialty steel.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1991Date of Patent: October 6, 1992Assignee: Patent Treuhand Gesellschaft fur elektrische Gluhlampen mbHInventors: Walter Schoenherr, Alfred Braun, Hermann Steiner

Patent number: 4950942Abstract: To permit ready attachment of a pinch or press seal terminating a halogen incandescent lamp, particularly for automotive use, a base sleeve (9), for example of steel, is formed as a hollow cylinder having, at the end remote from the bulb, at least two spaced flange elements (28) extending radially inwardly of the sleeve and essentially at right angles to the axis of the lamp. A base plug element, formed as a solid body, for example of highly heat-resistant plastic material, is located projecting from the base sleeve, and positioned remote from the bulb. The essentially cylindrical solid body (29) is formed with a circumferential collar of smaller outside diameter, and separated from the remainder of the solid body by a circumferential ring groove.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1989Date of Patent: August 21, 1990Assignee: Patent Treuhand Gesellschaft fur elektrische GluhlampenInventors: Alfred Braun, Peter Helbig, Hermann Steiner

Patent number: 4751421Abstract: The bulb (1) of an incandescent lamp, such as a vehicular headlight, is mted on a base structure (3) without cementing, by means of a securing element (2) having two shell-shaped halves (4). Each half (4) has a lug (5) on one side and bent tabs (6) on its other side which engage the lug (5) of the other half (4) to form a cuff around the pinch seal of the lamp and to connect the lamp to the base structure (3), which may be made of plastic. Each half (4) has a flange (8) with a projecting rim (10) whose curvature matches that of a tubular base structure (3). The projecting rim (10) has perforations (9) so that, if a plastic base structure (3) is used, the rim (10) can be connected to the base structure (3) by high-frequency heating, which causes the plastic to permeate the perforations (9) and harden therein.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 1986Date of Patent: June 14, 1988Assignee: Patent Treuhand Gesellschaft fur elektrische Gluhlampen mbHInventors: Alfred Braun, Walter Schonherr, Hermann Steiner
