  • Patent number: 6938837
Abstract: A faucet spray head includes a diverter valve that has a diverter stem constructed and arranged to control water flow patterns. The stem includes a neck and a head that is larger than the neck. A shell encloses the diverter valve, and the shell has an opening through which the stem extends. A pivot member is coupled to the shell, and a rocker arm is pivotally coupled to the pivot member. The rocker arm has a retention opening, and the retention opening is adapted to slidably receive and retain the head of the stem during assembly of the rocker arm to the pivot member. The rocker arm is attached to the diverter valve in order to actuate the valve. The spray head includes lock pins that are configured to engage a lock insert that is secured to a spout.

  • Patent number: 6915816
Abstract: A faucet assembly includes a faucet hub, a hose, a hose retraction mechanism and a storage bag for storing any slack in the hose. The faucet hub includes at least one hose guide that is used to reduce the amount of wear on the hose. The retraction mechanism allows the hose to extend from the faucet hub. Once in the extended position, the retraction mechanism is configured to lock the hose in the extended position. Upon actuation by the user, the retraction mechanism can retract the hose back inside the faucet hub.

  • Patent number: 6792629
Abstract: A faucet mounting system includes a trim member to which a faucet hub is attached. The system includes a pair of screws that attach the trim member to a foot member. The foot member is slid into a faucet opening in the deck. From the top of the deck, the screws are used to clamp the deck between the trim member and the foot member. The trim member defines a receptacle with alignment tabs that are used to position the faucet hub in the receptacle. The faucet hub has a mounting shank to which a mounting bracket is attached in order to secure the faucet hub to the deck from the underside of the deck.

  • Patent number: 6293299
Abstract: A limiting device for use with a single-handle valve for mixing hot and cold water and for controlling the maximum flow-volume or the maximum temperature of flow through the valve. The device limits the range of motion of the control stem of a single-handle mixing valve. The device comprises a guide template and an insert. The guide template generally defines the range of motion of the control stem, the control stem being positioned within a camming aperture of the guide template, the camming aperture having the same general shape as the range of motion of the control stem. The guide template includes a guide-cover key that prevents any rotary movement of the guide template relative to the single-handle mixing valve, and a guide-insert key. The insert further limits the range of motion of the control stem during engagement with the guide template. The insert includes an insert-limiting edge that further reduces the size of the camming aperture during engagement of the insert with the guide template.

  • Patent number: 6170799
Abstract: A water mixing valve (10) can selectively adjust temperature by selection mixing of the hot and cold water supplies and be selectively locked in place by a knob (26) fastened via a threaded faster (30). The knob (26) has a spline section (34) seated in a complementary spline section (36) in the valve body (20) to prevent the knob (26) and operating stem (22) from inadvertent rotation.

  • Patent number: 5927328
Abstract: A faucet 10 includes a self closing faucet handle 16 having an escapement mechanism (77) in series with both a release ratchet (102) and a slip clutch (110) to provide ease in turning on the faucet and the option of a quick manual closing of the faucet valve. The ratchet (102), escapement mechanism (77) and slip clutch 110 are all concealed within the shell (42) of a blade handle (16) that is rotated between the on and off positions.
