  • Patent number: 5520309
Abstract: A chalk dispenser for containing and dispensing chalk. In one embodiment, the chalk dispenser is in the shape of a box and has a partially closed bottom, with laterally opening sides so that individual pieces of chalk can be pushed or pulled from the bottom. The bottom is preferably concave shaped to be complimentary to the shape of the chalk being dispensed. A window is provided in the front of the dispenser so that the level of chalk can be determined. In a second embodiment, a plurality of parallel channels are provided into which individual pieces of chalk can be inserted. The channels are preferably concave in shape with slots so that the chalk can be contacted by a user and slid out of the channel. The channels have a length which is slightly less than the length of the chalk so that the ends of the chalk can be grasped by a user and pulled or pushed from the channels.

  • Patent number: 5305977
Abstract: A receptacle support for supporting a receptacle such as a paint can on a ladder rung or rail. The receptacle support is constructed of a steel rod having a plurality of bends to provide a hook end and a clamp receiving end. There is a bend in the center of the rod to provide a pair of arms. The bend has an angle greater than 90 degrees, where the hook end engages an end of a ladder rail and one of the arms rests on a rung. The other arm extends downwardly where a clamp holds a receptacle on the outside of the ladder. A spring securing device attached to the steel rod and stretched so it attaches to the hook end. When the securing device is in place the receptacle support and spring encircle a ladder rail to stabilize the receptacle holder and receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5037251
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved thread-tapping device which permits both conventional and non-conventional driving means to be used to drive the tap to form threads in a hole. The improved thread tap has a conventional set of flats arranged in a square configuration with each flat being spaced about the circumference of the shank at approximately 90 degrees with respect to one another. This first set of flats extends longitudinally at or about a free end of the shank of the thread tap in the direction of the cutting portion of the thread tap. Positioned between this first set and the cutting portion is a second mounting section which has a plurality of flats divisible by three. This second set of flats is circumferentially spaced about the shank of the thread tap and longitudinally extends from about the terminus of the first set in the direction of the cutting portion. The first set of flats is conventional and can be mounted within a conventional tap driving device.

  • Patent number: 4893747
Abstract: A rotatable mailbox support assembly for mounting a mailbox such that it can be rotated from a first position to a second position. The assembly has a base member which is adapted to be mounted to a vertical support post or to an outwardly extending arm. A rotatable support plate is rotatably mounted with respect to the base member such that a mailbox mounted to the support plate can be rotated with respect to the base member and support means. The rotatable support plate is journaled to the base member by a spindle which is concealed from the elements. A latch is attached to the base member and controls the position of the mailbox and permits manual release of the mailbox for rotation. An auxiliary arm is provided which can be used with the rotatable mounting assembly for mounting the assembly to a square or round vertical post. Additionally, an adapter is provided for replacing the standard wood block used in mounting a standard mailbox.
