  • Patent number: 5870641
Abstract: The quick-clamping locking plate for a video or film camera has a dovetail guide and straight guide edges approaching one another conically in the direction of the front end of the plate, and a locking arrangement for locking an insert part fastened to the camera in the dovetail guide. In the region of one guide edge of the dovetail guide, one abutment region of the said dovetail guide is constructed as a rocker which is pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the floor of the dovetail guide and has a guide edge which projects into the inner region of the dovetail guide, slightly above the rest of the guide edge on this side of the said dovetail guide. A pressure piece of the locking arrangement is situated behind the dovetail guide and is guided along the central longitudinal axis of the said dovetail guide.

  • Patent number: 5678108
Abstract: In the proposed gobo (11), the diaphragm mask (13) is placed on a stationary surface, especially of a planar member, and has an aperture (27) of the gobo substantially adjustable along the stationary surface or planar member according to the focal length used. The diaphragm mask has two curtains (15, 16), preferably adjustable in pairs in opposite directions, which limit the free aperture of the gobo depending on the focal length used. The curtains are adjusted by electromotors (M1, M2) via belts (19, 21), rollers (20, 22), and bevel gears (25, 26). The motors (M1, M2) are controlled by a controller (28) and, via potentiometer readings, receive as input signals the adjustment values of the lens for focal length and focus.

  • Patent number: 4752798
Abstract: A mounting for a sun shade, a filter or both for the usual bulky lens of a professional video camera can be moved forward or backward parallel to the lens axis on two parallel guide rails (3, 4), the rear ends of which are fixed on a frame (18) supported forward of the lens mounting support (9) by rods (25, 26) and a structure (9) which supports the lens. On the guide rails extending foward from the frame (18) there is mounted a back-and-forth shiftable articulation device (10, 13, 14) which permits swinging of its outer member (14), only in the forward position of the device, about the articulation joint (13). Movement of the accessory towards and away from the lens is driven by an eccentric arm (19) which is linked to a swinging member (22) for transmitting linear motion. A manipulation member 21 serves to move the eccentric arm 19.
