Patent number: 8025266Abstract: A mold and a process for preparing a customized hot pour product formed of a hot pour material. The process comprises the steps of providing a mold having a top part with a pour space and a base part, applying hot pour material into the mold through the pour space and allowing the hot pour material to cool, removing the top part of the mold to provide a first exposed surface, and releasing the base part to provide a second exposed surface. The mold may be customized to include inserts, removable members, projections, recesses, and combinations thereof in the base part and/or top part, thereby providing for a hot pour product with one or more exposed surfaces that are embossed, debossed, or both.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2005Date of Patent: September 27, 2011Assignee: Cosmetics Group USA, Inc.Inventor: Alfred E. Patent number: 4869407Abstract: Air freshener apparatus comprising a cup-like base in which a quantity of fragrance emitting ingredient is disposed in at least a partially exposed relation. Secured air sealed about the support is a tubular bellows a soft, pliable composition forming an air chamber overlying the exposed relation of the fragrance ingredient. Breather holes formed through the support underlying the fragrance ingredient therein enables dispensing of a controlled quantity of fragrance scent by manually compressing the bellows. An adhesive pad on the undersurface of the support enables the apparatus to be attached to a recipient surface. Merchandise packaging of an air freshener unit includes a blister wrap of pliable composition having an aperture communicating from inward to outward thereof. This enables on-site consumer testing of the unit by depressing the wrap which in turn compresses the bellows to effect a scent emission outward through said aperture.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 1988Date of Patent: September 26, 1989Assignee: Products by DesignAir, Inc.Inventors: Alfred E. Booth, Jr., Robert L. Booth

Patent number: 4153503Abstract: A mineral board product is formed having a low density backing layer and a high density damage-resistant surface layer on conventional fourdrinier equipment in a continuous wet-laid process by initially forming a low density water-laid sheet by flowing a slurry of the board-forming materials onto the wire of a fourdrinier and, at that point on the wire where the mat has formed but at which the water content is between about 7.0 and 12.0 percent, a surfacing layer is applied by means of a secondary head box to the mat, the slurry forming said surfacing layer having a slurry consistency of between about 10 and 15 percent and a Canadian Standard Freeness of between about 150 and 300.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1973Date of Patent: May 8, 1979Assignee: Armstrong Cork CompanyInventors: Alfred E. Booth, Daniel W. Schutter

Patent number: 3940719Abstract: An electromagnetic energy dissipative load or attenuator is provided having a lossy section of waveguide transmission line of sufficient length to provide substantial loss and a transition section for adaption to other waveguide configurations. The transmission line is short circuited as a terminating load, and cooling means may be circulated adjacent to the waveguide for removal of the heat energy generated in the waveguide walls. A second transition section in place of the short circuit provides for a high power attenuator. The lossy waveguide section is coiled in either a flat spiral or concentric helical configuration. A fluid coolant may be circulated adjacent to or inside the lossy section coils.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1974Date of Patent: February 24, 1976Assignee: Raytheon CompanyInventor: Alfred E. Booth
