Abstract: A method of controlling pest termites. A vibrational signal which is perceptible to and behaviourally influential upon the pest termites is generated, and coupled into a medium for perception by the pest termites. Repellent termite alarm signals may be utilised. A new type of foraging signal is disclosed and may be applied to lure termites to a bait.

Abstract: A system for relieving back pressure comprising: a waist belt affixed to a reclining individual; a plurality of tension lines extending axial through the legs of the individual; and a mechanism to attach the tension lines so as to provide positive tension.

Abstract: A housing module which is formed as a box-beam structure, and has sufficient rigidity and strength so that it can be used to span distances of relatively great length. The housing unit is able to be prefabricated and can be readily transported without the need for additional support or stiffening members to prevent damage from excess flexure. Further, the unit can be simply put in place on site without any additional stiffening or strengthing members. In addition, the units can be stacked one over the other, thus greatly increasing their flexibility to the architect.

Abstract: A device for live trapping of rodent and other small animals including a ramp up which the animal walks to reach a food pellet. Upon doing so the animal traps himself and cannot get out until released.
