  • Patent number: 6102372
Abstract: A rope arrangement having carrying ropes guided downward in pairs at four corner points of an imaginary four-cornered shape at a carrying device. One of the carrying ropes extends from one of the corner points of one transverse side of the imaginary four-cornered shape and another of the carrying ropes extends from the other corner point of the same transverse side. The carrying ropes are at a spread angle relative to one another and in a plane extending parallel to the transverse side. Spaced fastening locations of the pairs of carrying ropes provided at an attachment device lie in at least one vertical plane which intersects the transverse sides transversely in the center. In order to achieve a damping of load oscillations in any direction, two carrying ropes are respectively fastened to the corner points and accordingly to the fastening locations of the carrying device and the planes associated with the pairs of carrying ropes are inclined relative to one another at an angle (.beta.

  • Patent number: 6050198
Abstract: A travelling mechanism for a rail-movable lifting device includes a carrier with running wheels which roll on a longitudinally extending running surface of a rail. A double lever is pivotally mounted on the carrier. A drivable friction wheel that is positionable on a longitudinally extending friction surface of the rail is rotatably mounted on the double lever. An opposing side of the double lever supports the lifting device, whereby the double lever presses the friction wheel against the friction surface of the rail by a force under the weight of the lifting device.

  • Patent number: 6036248
Abstract: A load-supporting apparatus, includes a housing, a load hook defining a throat area and swingably mounted in the housing for rotation in a vertical plane between a locked stand-by position in which the load hook is disengaged from a pick-up eyelet of a load and a locked load-receiving position in which the load hook engages the pick-up eyelet of the load. Operatively connected to the load hook is a centering unit for effecting a rotation of the load-bearing between the stand-by and load-receiving positions when the centering unit encounters a resistance, with the centering unit closing off the throat area of the load hook after swinging of the load hook into the load-receiving position.

  • Patent number: 5863029
Abstract: A rope guide for a winch, especially for hoisting gear, with a winding drum which has rope grooves running in opposite directions, including guide means which are provided for the alignment of at least a pair of rope lines and connected with one another via coupling means so as to run in opposite directions. The guide means include guide elements and are drivable by the rope lines, which can be wound on or wound off the winding drum. To facilitate a gentle winding on and winding off of the rope in a compact constructional form which is robust, resistant to impact and maintenance-free, each guide element comprises a rope guide channel which is formed in a channel support and which has, in a first plane disposed at a right angle to the axis of rotation of the winding drum and in a second plane disposed parallel to the axis of rotation of the winding drum, an input contact portion, for a rope and an oppositely located output contact portion for the rope.

  • Patent number: 5851039
Abstract: A lower block, in particular for lifting tackle, having laterally arranged, rotatably mounted pulleys and a load hook which is mounted rotatably about a vertical axis and a horizontal axis and is connected via a connecting element to the pulleys. In order to reduce the overall height and the work involved in assembly of the lower block without correspondingly reducing its load bearing capacity, journals are formed integral with the connecting element and are arranged at opposite lateral ends thereof for supporting the pulleys. The load hook is arranged and axially secured in a recess defined in and open toward the bottom of the connecting element.

  • Patent number: 5831222
Abstract: A measuring device including a substantially horizontal shaft having a longitudinal axis and a groove defined transverse thereto. The shaft is mounted with clearance in a substantially non-circular opening defined in the lateral supports of a supporting device, the clearance being provided at least in an area opposite the groove. A bearing pin is secured to the supporting device and partially engages the groove defined in the shaft, thereby axially and non-rotatably securing the shaft to the supporting device. A load measuring element is fixedly mounted to the supporting device and supports the end of the shaft longitudinally opposite the location of the groove. The load measuring element is preferably provided with wire strain gauges or microswitches, which permit simple measurement of the load. A pulley is rotatably supported by an annular pivot bearing for rotation about the shaft to transfer the load from the shaft to the bearing pin and load measuring element.
