  • Patent number: 5704432
Abstract: A coupling and centering device is attached to a journal (38) of a carrying frame (37) of an agricultural implement. The coupling and centering device has a catching ball (7) and a catching profile (14). The catching profile (14) has a sleeve (15) and a catching plate (25) which are connected to one another. The sleeve (15), in the fitted condition, enters a bore step (12) of the catching ball. The catching plate (25) is arranged relative to the sleeve (15) such that the transverse bore (19), for receiving the lynch pin, is arranged in the region of the wall of the catching plate (25). Thus, in view of a predetermined length of the journal (38) and the provision of the fixing bore (39), the greatest possible guiding length of the sleeve (15) is achieved on the journal (38). In this way, the strength of the connection is affected positively.

  • Patent number: 4917406
Abstract: The invention relates to a length-adjustable holding device (5) for supporting the lower steering arms of a three-point coupling device of an agricultural tractor. The holding device (5) comprises a helical spring (6) and an adjusting member (9). The spring and adjusting member are connectable to each other by means of through-bores (10) in the adjusting member (9) and a pin (11) insertable between two coils (6a, 6b) of the helical spring (6). The axes (12) of the through-bores (10) extend at an angle and the distance between the bores (10) differs from the pitch of the two coils (6a, 6b) in order to achieve a fine length adjustment. The adjusting member (9) is guided via a guiding projection (15) in a bore (16) of a guiding sleeve (14) which is received in the cavity of the helical spring (6) so as to be non-rotatable and axially unmovable.

  • Patent number: 4865134
Abstract: An adjustable length strut 24 for laterally supporting each lower steering arm 12, 14 of a three point linkage on an agricultural tractor comprises a sleeve 26 within which a shaft is telescopically slidable, the two parts being biased inwardly towards one another by a tension spring 40. The shaft 28 is provided with axially spaced through bores 52, 54, 56 each alignable with a corresponding through bore 58, 60 or 62 in the sleeve 26. The longitudinal axes of each alignable set of bores extends at different angles of inclination to one another whereby a locking pin 64 may only be insertable through one specific set of aligned bores.

  • Patent number: 4619543
Abstract: A coupling assembly particularly for a trailer hitch or similar device, wherein a coupling hook is to be engaged about a coupling sphere including an annular retainer plate having a radially innermost conical support region and a radially outermost conical guide region formed integrally with each other opening away from said coupling sphere with the support region having an opening angle of about 156.degree. and the conical guide region having an opening angle of less than 120.degree., the support region extending radially through about one-third of the total radial width of the annular retainer plate.
