  • Patent number: 4400848
Abstract: A door hinge for furniture is made up of a box-like part designed to be set within or inset into a recess in a door from its back side, and has a spring-powered or pressed bolt for acting on a cam face at the end of an L-like support arm. The arm is fixed to the body or frame of a piece of furniture so that in one (or two) positions where the cam face has an inwardly offset of cut-out portion, the bolt will be responsible for a detent effect to keep the door in a shut position or in shut and or open positions. The L-like support arm is fixed to the body of the piece of furniture by way of a base or mounting plate having a guiding mounting ledge for cooperating with one leg of the support arm. The one leg portion has a wedging face and is responsible for guiding the support arm parallel to itself for changing the height of the arm. The arm is mounted on the base plate in position for normal use by a metal screw or the like.

  • Patent number: 4376555
Abstract: An assembly for supporting a drawer relative to a rail including an axial bearing pin with a bearing shaft and a rivet pin at opposite ends thereof, a pair of adjacent collars of substantial diameter relative to the bearing shaft and the rivet pin being disposed therebetween. The rivet pin is secured to the rail of the drawer for support of the assembly. One of the collars includes an insertion bevel on the side of the bearing shaft and an oblique shoulder on the opposite side thereof. A support and guide roller having an axial bore and a relatively large outside diameter is mounted on the bearing shaft, which forms, together with the axial bearing pin of relatively small diameter, a load transmitting bearing both in the radial and in the axial directions thereof. A coupling assembly is provided which includes spring-elastic claws for securing the support and/or guide roller with respect to axial displacement while guiding it on the rail.

  • Patent number: 4368558
Abstract: A pressure operated hinge for swingably mounting a door on a frame behind their exposed front portions is of three parts involving a box having pressure elements to be mounted within a back-positioned cavity in the door, a swing arm part that carries a rounded, pin-like guide surface provided with at least one contoured slot therein, and a frame mounting plate part that is adapted to be adjustably secured by a set screw and a tongue and groove connection to the swing arm part. The operating relation between the pressure elements and the guide surface is designed to minimize friction therebetween, and the swing arm is adapted to move into the box to provide a substantially flush positioning when the door is fully closed.

  • Patent number: 4168077
Abstract: An anti-crossing device to improve efficiency in parallel skiing techniques includes an upright member which is attached to the upper surface of a ski adjacent to the inner longitudinal edge of same. The upright member is molded from a flexible plastic material and comprises an attaching base and a trough-shaped upper portion and is arranged so that the hollow side of the trough is turned towards the other ski. The upright member shows itself to be quite rigid when the skis begin to cross so that it urges the crossing ski back to a more parallel position. When, however, the skis crossed over one another in spite of the provision of the upright member this yields in the other direction, so that the skis may easily be separated from one another.

  • Patent number: 4131968
Abstract: An adjustable hinge arrangement between a stationary member and a movable closure member. The hinge arrangement comprises a stationary base plate supporting a sliding member that is adjustable in a direction that is perpendicular to the closure member. A hinge arm is supported from the sliding member, and the arm is adjustable in a direction that is parallel to the closure. A set screw locks the sliding member to the base plate, and an adjusting screw is interlocked with a bayonet slot in the hinge arm and is threaded into the sliding member.

  • Patent number: 4114237
Abstract: The invention relates to a door hinge comprising two hinge members one affixed to the door and the other to the door frame connected together by two jointing levers and a spring loaded roller engaging one of the levers, the mounting of the roller on the spring member symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal center line of the door hinge member to apply downward pressure on the hinge member of the door during closing when engaged by one of the levers.
