  • Publication number: 20200078723
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a plant for removal of acidic gas constituents from synthesis gas by absorption in a physical scrubbing medium. A first scrubbing medium laden with at least carbon dioxide (CO2) is supplied to a decompression vessel for depressurization from a first absorption apparatus via a first feed conduit. Furthermore, a second scrubbing medium laden with at least carbon dioxide (CO2) is supplied to the decompression vessel for depressurization from a second absorption apparatus via a second feed conduit. The carbon dioxide concentration in the first laden scrubbing medium is higher than the carbon dioxide concentration in the second laden scrubbing medium.

  • Publication number: 20200070087
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for removal of metal carbonyls from crude synthesis gas in a gas scrubbing process with a physical scrubbing medium. Scrubbing medium laden with hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and metal carbonyls is sent to a treatment vessel having a residence time region and a scrubbing region. Metal carbonyls are precipitated from the laden scrubbing medium as metal sulfides in the residence time region. The scrubbing region is supplied with a regenerated scrubbing medium.

  • Publication number: 20070134148
Abstract: From a gas stream, which in a process for the selective removal of sulfur-containing components is obtained periodically and in fluctuating amounts and/or with fluctuating concentrations of sulfur-containing components, the sulfur-containing components are absorbed by means of a washing agent, the washing agent loaded with the sulfur-containing components subsequently is regenerated, the sulfur-containing components separated during the regeneration are converted to sulfur, and the regenerated washing agent is recirculated to the absorption. To achieve an inflow of the washing agent loaded with sulfur-containing components to the regeneration, which is uniform in terms of time, amount and/or concentration of the sulfur-containing components, it is provided to temporarily store the loaded washing agent upon absorption.
