  • Patent number: 4773791
Abstract: In a joint bridging construction for structures in which the sealing body of elastic material, which is flush with the top surface of the structure, by means of beads is inserted from above into upwardly open recesses of edge girders and against sliding-out is guarded by substantially circular retaining members one part of which are embedded in the retaining girders and the other part of which are embedded in the beads, there are provided, for structures constructed as buildings, edge girders each of which consists of at least one sheet metal strip extending in longitudinal direction of the joint, at least those two flanks of said strip facing the top surface of the building being formed by doubling the strip.

  • Patent number: 4637085
Abstract: A joint spanning construction for bridges has a sealing body flush with the top edge of the road surface and comprising beading made of resilient rubber material inserted into recesses of open-topped sills. The beading is secured against lifting out by retainer bodies of circular cross-section which are fitted half in the walls of the sill recesses and half in the beading. The sills respectively feature webs, which have approximately parallel sides and which are directed towards the road surface so as to extend into the beading. The sections of beading separated by the webs feature concave recesses on their sides opposite the respective webs, and in each case the outer one of such recesses is engaged by the retainer body concerned.

  • Patent number: 4488324
Abstract: Means for spanning the joint between adjoining structural members of a bridge or like structure which is of the kind consisting in a body which runs along the joint and can be flexed to engage a bead or thickening along each edge of the body in a corresponding recess or groove in the adjacent member. In the particular case of the invention the bead or thickening is associated with a tongue which engages behind an upstanding nose in the recess of groove to promote the fastening.
