  • Patent number: 9657721
Abstract: A transmission unit (1), particularly for a wind power plant, which has a first planetary stage (2), on the drive input side, a second planetary stage (3) and a third planetary stage (4), on the drive output side, which are coupled with one another in such a manner that a torque from the drive input side can be divided between the first and the second planetary stages (2; 3) and recombined in the third planetary stage (4). The first, the second and the third planetary stages (2; 3; 4) have a common gearwheel carrier (20) which is mounted for rotation about a rotational axis of the transmission unit (1).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 5, 2013
Date of Patent: May 23, 2017
    Assignee: ZF Friedrichshafen AG
    Inventors: Jochen Witzig, Alfred Kienzle

  • Patent number: 8968149
Abstract: A wind turbine gear mechanism with a planetary gear stage arranged on the drive input side and with first and second spur gear stages arranged, in a gear mechanism housing, downstream of the planetary gear stage. The first spur gear stage rotationally and functionally connects a sun gear shaft of the planetary gear stage to an intermediate shaft, the second spur gear stage rotationally and functionally connects the intermediate shaft to a drive output shaft, and only one intermediate shaft is provided. In this case, the gear mechanism housing has a separation joint along which the gear mechanism housing can be divided into a main housing portion and a housing cover in such manner that a separation joint plane passes through the central axis of the intermediate shaft and the separation joint plane extends a distance away from the central axis of the sun gear shaft.

  • Publication number: 20110177904
Abstract: A ship propulsion (3) with at least a fixedly positioned transmission unit (4, 204) secured to the hull (6) of the ship and a propulsion unit (5, 205) located on the exterior of the hull. The ship propulsion (3) facilitates pivoting of the propulsion unit (5, 205) around a control axis (10, 110, 210, 310), via a control device (200, 300). The control device has a control motor (120, 220, 320) and at least one control transmission (130, 230, 330). The control transmission is designed as a reduced planetary transmission, which comprises two central gears (131, 132, 231, 232, 331, 332) and a planetary gear carrier (233, 333, 433) with at least two planetary gears (238, 338), and coaxial positioned with reference to the control axis.
