  • Patent number: 7911051
Abstract: An electronic circuit arrangement includes a heat sink and a first circuit carrier which is thermally coupled to the heat sink, lies flat on the latter and is intended to wire electronic components of the circuit arrangement. Provided for at least one electronic component is a special arrangement which is associated with a considerably increased heat dissipation capability for the relevant component and, in addition, also affords further advantages in connection with changes in the population and/or line routing which might occur in practice. The important factor for this is that the component is arranged under a second circuit carrier which is held in a recess in the first circuit carrier. The recess passes through to the top side of the heat sink.

  • Publication number: 20080119325
Abstract: An apparatus of an automatic gearbox for generating a startup signal according to which starting of an engine, which interacts with the gearbox, is made possible or prevented. The apparatus having a position sensor (1) for detecting the position of a gearshift lever of the an automatic gearbox, and the position sensor (1) measuring distance and providing a measurement signal based on the distance measured. A transducer device (2) converts the measurement signal, from the position sensor, into a digital signal. A hardware circuit (5) generates a startup signal from the digital signal provided by the transducer device.

  • Patent number: 6688749
Abstract: A rear view mirror assembly for commercial vehicles comprises a tubular support structure having a first end fixable to a commercial vehicle and a second end extending from the commercial vehicle, and a support arm including a molded part and at least one core element. The molded part encapsulates the core element and a substantial portion of the tubular support structure. The molded part and the core element each have a respective density, the core element density being less than the molded part density, whereby the presence of the core element within the molded part reduces the overall weight of the support arm.

  • Patent number: 6361178
Abstract: A pivotable external rearview mirror assembly for vehicles is disclosed. The assembly includes a bearing arm including a bearing arm segment having a proximal end securable to the vehicle and a distal end extending from the proximal end. The bearing arm also includes a holding rod for supporting a rearview mirror housing. An articulation is secured to the distal end of the bearing arm segment and to a pivot end of the holding rod, the articulation pivotally joining the bearing arm segment and the holding rod. The articulation defines a swivel axis extending substantially horizontally in a direction substantially at a right angle to a direction of travel of the vehicle when the bearing arm is in a use position. The articulation is disposable adjacent a side of the vehicle when the bearing arm is in a use position so that the holding rod may pivot about the swivel axis in a plane extending in a direction substantially parallel to a direction of travel of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4557077
Abstract: An optical projection profile-grinding machine with a workpiece holder that accepts the workpiece to be machined, a grinding wheel that may be positioned in relation to the workpiece, a projector for displaying an enlarged image of the point of engagement between the workpiece and grinding wheel on a projection screen, and a nominal profile line arranged on the projection screen, characterized by the workpiece being capable of rotation around the optical axis of the projector and of fixation in different angular positions in unison with the projection screen and its nominal profile line. The projection screen, or a carrier screen that accepts a nominal profile line and is arranged on the projection screen, is rotatable around the optical axis of the projector, in synchrony and at the same angular velocity as the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4524521
Abstract: In a projection table of an optical projection form grinding machine, with a transparent carrier for a form pattern drawing, which bears insertion marks, and with a transparent cover, which can be moved between an open position, in which the carrier is accessible for insertion of the form pattern drawing, and a closed position, in which the cover lies flush on the form pattern drawing and fixes it in position on the carrier, in order on the one hand to eliminate disturbing reflections, and on the other hand to obtain good visibility of the insertion marks during insertion, it is proposed that the cover be made nonreflecting or reflection-reducing, but displaying transparent regions, not made nonreflecting or reflection-reducing, above the insertion marks of the form pattern drawing.

  • Patent number: 4075802
Abstract: A window or similar pane of glass that is rendered burglar-proof by being faced with a relatively thinner film of strong transparent plastic material adhesively secured to said glass pane, the cohesion of the latter being such that while the glass pane may break under the force of blows applied to it or to the outer surface of the film adhesive, the broken pieces of the pane will be retained in their co-planar position adhesively held in place by said film. A reinforcing frame may be provided to firmly hold the four or more circumscribing edges of the film of adhesive secured to the window frame.
