Patent number: 8182677Abstract: Known tank flanges have a main filter which has a filter housing with an inlet and an outlet, and a first connecting duct for connecting the main filter to a feed unit. The filter housing is integrated in the tank flange, and filter fabric is inserted into the filter housing and the filter housing is closed off by a filter cover. The inlet of the filter housing is connected to the pressure side of a feed unit and the outlet leads to an internal combustion engine. A disadvantage is that, in order to exchange the filter fabric, the large-area filter cover must be opened, as a result of which a large amount of fuel vapor is dissipated to the atmosphere. In the case of the tank flange according to the invention, the exchangeability of the main filter is simplified by virtue of the main filter being embodied as a filter cartridge. It is provided according to the invention that the inlet of the main filter extends into the first connecting duct of the tank flange and therein forms a sealed connection.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2007Date of Patent: May 22, 2012Assignees: Robert Bosch GmbH, Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Bernd Osswald, Alfred Mueller, Klaus Gebert, Peter Schelhas

Patent number: 7351154Abstract: A fun-ride more particularly for amusement parks, fairs and the like comprises at least one rail vehicle 1 and a guide lap for the vehicle 1. In a lateral projection a lap section 2 of the guide lap essentially constitutes a loop, the lap section 2 comprising a first uphill section 3 and a second downhill section 4 and the top ends of the sections are connected together. At least in the uphill section 3 the means 5 for engagement with the vehicle 1 is arranged. This means may for example be a holding brake or a coupling device. It is preferably operated when the vehicle 1 comes to a halt after a downward movement owing to the action of gravity on the vehicle 1.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2005Date of Patent: April 1, 2008Assignee: Maurer Sohne GmbH & Co., KGInventors: Alfred Müller, Jörg Beutler

Publication number: 20050249565Abstract: A method of clamping a rotationally symmetrical body (10) for the purpose of machining, in which method the body (10), with its first side (12), is pulled by means of a tensile force (F1), which acts in extension of the rotation axis (19, 19?) of the body (10) on the first side (12) of the body (10), against a supporting element (72) having a centering effect. A device for clamping a rotationally symmetrical body (10) for the purpose of machining, which device comprises a supporting element (72), against which the body (10) can be pulled, and a tie rod (64) which can act on and pull the body (10), to be clamped, axially and concentrically to the rotation axis (19, 19?) of the latter. The mounting of the tie rod (64) is designed in such a way that the tie rod (64) is axially guided with radial clearance (66) for the axial pulling movement. The tensile force (F1) of the tie rod (64) is preferably adjustable.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2003Publication date: November 10, 2005Applicant: ABB TURBO SYSTEMS AGInventors: Alfred Mueller, Franz Knecht

Patent number: 6918723Abstract: The shaft is connected to the shaft attachment by a thread. A bore with an internal thread is incorporated in the shaft attachment and the shaft has a corresponding stem which can be introduced into the threaded bore and has an external thread. An axial stop is arranged on the shaft and on the shaft attachment. The internal and external threads have torque-transmitting flanks which are flat toward the axis and which can be connected to one another frictionally by radial pressure by mutual rotation of shaft and shaft attachment with interaction between the axial stops. Owing to the small angle between the load-bearing flanks and the axis, the radial pressure decisive for the torque transmission is correspondingly greater than in conventional threaded connections. As a result, the axial prestressing force between the two parts to be connected can be correspondingly reduced.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2004Date of Patent: July 19, 2005Assignee: ABB Turbo Systems AGInventors: Josef Bättig, Alfred Müller, Balz Flury

Patent number: 5631471Abstract: The invention relates to a device to irradiate surfaces with electrons, especially to harden surface layers. The device includes a vacuum chamber that has an electron beam window; an electron beam-permeable film that closes off the vacuum chamber from the ambient medium; and an electron beam generating system, consisting of a cathode and a forming electrode which are connected to a high-voltage and beam current feed line. In order to achieve an increase of the electron beam power and to reduce the energy losses during the transfer out of the electron beam window in such a device, according to the invention, the forming electrode is designed as a tubular hollow body with inner hollow space lengthwise dividers and with a lengthwise slit that is open towards the electron beam window. A wire-shaped cathode is arranged in each hollow space segment divided off by the hollow space lengthwise divider.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 1995Date of Patent: May 20, 1997Assignee: IGM-Robotersysteme AktiengesellschaftInventors: Peter Anderl, Klaus Bloemer, Alfred Mueller, Ulrich Schwab, Eberhard Hartmann, Reiner Mehnert, Alexander Mende
