  • Publication number: 20120107788
Abstract: The current invention offers experiences that might be called “simulated music reading.” This curriculum delivery invention comprises a computer-operated instructional delivery system displaying pre-formatted curriculum content accompanied by animations that elicit rhythmic participation. The computer-controlled display (computer monitor, television, or projection screen) provides access to start/stop and tempo controls. The display also reveals cursors, arrows, shadings, and other animated features applied to curriculum material, ensuring that students perceive a prescribed rhythm and can give a choral response. Whether reciting, interpreting, identifying, or supplying missing content elements, the students' creation of and involvement in a rhythmic context is a key element of the invention's efficacy.

  • Publication number: 20060231782
Abstract: An improved method and control for identifying the presence of a user in the vicinity of a plumbing product utilizes a CCD camera to capture images. The captured images are analyzed to determine whether there is an actual user in a field of vision. If an actual user is determined to be in the image, then flow of water such as directing water outwardly of a faucet, or flushing of a toilet, is actuated. Further, the invention can be utilized in a tub and/or shower, and certain safety features can be provided by the control.

The stem includes a neck and a head that is larger than the neck. A shell encloses the diverter valve, and the shell has an opening through which the stem extends. A pivot member is coupled to the shell, and a rocker arm is pivotally coupled to the pivot member. The rocker arm has a retention opening, and the retention opening is adapted to slidably receive and retain the head of the stem during assembly of the rocker arm to the pivot member. The rocker arm is attached to the diverter valve in order to actuate the valve. The spray head includes lock pins that are configured to engage a lock insert that is secured to a spout.
