Abstract: A stator for an electric machine of a motor vehicle, having an annular yoke, with an inner side directed inwards in the radial direction of the yoke, wherein a plurality of pole teeth are connected by form fit to the yoke on the inner side of the yoke, a stator winding which is formed as a mat and which is arranged between the pole teeth, a first cooling channel through which a cooling medium may flow and which extends in the longitudinal direction of the stator, wherein the first cooling channel is arranged in a recess, and a second cooling channel through which a cooling medium may flow, wherein the second cooling channel is arranged between two adjacent pole teeth between an inner side of the stator winding directed inwards in the radial direction of the stator and a pole shoe of the pole tooth.
