  • Patent number: 6220011
Abstract: In the case of a connecting chain link for link chains having two connecting-link parts (1, 2) which can be displaced by limited amounts in the longitudinal direction of the connecting link, in order to open and close the connecting link, and which are each provided with a stub (6) at one end (4) and at the other end (5) with a pocket (7) to hold the stub (6), in the closed position the connecting-link parts (1, 2) are locked in place with the aid of a central locking element (10) which rests in shell-shaped supporting surfaces (9) of two projections (8) which protrude into the clear interior of the connecting link.

  • Patent number: 4974722
Abstract: In a multi-strand chain conveyor having conveying members (1) which are connected via coupling elements (2) to connecting links (9) of identical orientation of adjacent chain strands (17, 18, 19), projections (5) of the coupling elements (2) engage into the clear inner spaces (14) of connecting links (9) of the outer chain strands (17, 18) in a manner such that their ends point in different directions. As a result of the different direction of engagement of the ends of the projections (5) into the connecting links (9), undesired twisting of the outer chain strands (17, 18) are countered and in this manner the security of the connection between the conveying members (1) and the chain strands (17, 18, 19) is increased.

  • Patent number: 4320827
Abstract: For fixing conveyor elements (7) to the chain strands (5, 6) in a chain conveyor having two chain strands (5, 6) running over sprockets (1, 3), pairs of projections (11, 12) are used which grip one chain link (10) in each case and which, on assembly or dismantling of the conveyor elements (7), can move relative to one another on the tensioned chain strands (5, 6) but are locked by fixing bolts (18) when in the operating position and which have an arcuate outline on the sides facing the fronts (8, 9) of the particular chain link (10) gripped.
