  • Patent number: 6254968
Abstract: Conventional plastic mouldings with several fields of which at least one is laminated with a covering material are produced in a single operation. In order to prevent the covering material from becoming warped in the laminated region, the plastic substrate of the known plastic part is injected into all fields under a low pressure, to the detriment under certain conditions of the quality of the blank fields. The invention therefore proposes to produce during one step the plastic substrate of the blank field from plastics injected under high pressure, and to produce the plastic substrate of the laminated field during another step from plastics injected under a relatively low pressure. Also disclosed is a corresponding moulding tool for producing the disclosed plastic moulding in a conventional press.

  • Patent number: 6126769
Abstract: A plastic moulding includes a rigid support (32) which is joined over at least one surface area (27, 29) to at least one film (5', 5"). The film (5', 5") has a fold at the edge of the plastic moulding which is placed around the plastic support. The manufacture of this plastic moulding (35) takes place such that first of all the film (5', 5") is brought into the final shape including the final fold and that only thereafter is the material of the plastic support (32) applied to the plastic film (5', 5") as a melt and both pressed into the completed fold and also collectively brought into the final shape by a compression moulding process (FIG. 7).

  • Patent number: 6103348
Abstract: A plastic molding with a plastic carrier (62) comprises several regions (50, 52, 54) separated from one another, at least some of these regions (50, 52, 54) being provided with optionally different films (40, 42). In the production of this non-coherent individual moldings separated from one another by separating spaces (46, 58) and corresponding to the regions (50, 52, 54) are first of all produced. Melt of the plastic carrier (62) is then injected into the separating spaces (46, 58), the individual moldings thereby being joined together. The plastic molding thus constitutes a one-piece whole which can be produced in a single production device (1).
